hmmmmmmm...there are really big differences between countries...

The countries with low expenditure for food seem rather healthy but the last country,Chad,is definitely a shortage of food! sad

That's very interesting. I'm surprised things are so cheap in Bhutan!

That Mexican family gets through all those bottles of cola in a week?! bigeyes Personally I wouldn't touch that liquid with a barge pole!

It's the second time I see this representation of the food realities of different countries and once again I'm astounded to see how it's real that even if we all share the same planet, many of us live in a totally different world.

Very interesting!! Yes, I agree about the many bottles of soda.

Funny visuality and very educative. Thankyou. I´m hungry:left:

I should take a picture of what I eat in one week. I'm so surprised that so many people eat so much packaged food and soft drinks.

hungryghost Sunday, January 27, 2008 2:56:09 AM

oooh, what a good idea - taking pictures of what we eat in one week. That'd be a fun project.

you should do it and inspire others San...Just make sure you don't hide all the twix bars.... whistle

Sansanshan Sunday, January 27, 2008 4:04:52 AM

Twix? That's a real rarity...only for traveling on icy mountain roads. I'm doing shopping tomorrow night so maybe...I'll attempt to be honest. bigsmile
On the other hand...salty snacks...chips...hmmm. rolleyes

galadriel Sunday, January 27, 2008 7:44:30 AM

That's a great idea San! (taking pictures of what you eat in one week) I think I should do this, or write it and see how much it adds up to. It looks like there is sooo much food in those photos..well in the more developed nations that is. The German family looks very German smile

The girl in the Poland pic looks like a girl I know!

It´s impressing the way we can be the complete rulers of our own lives by knowing just a little bit about nutrition.
food and exercise does the trick:up:

Sansanshan Sunday, January 27, 2008 2:48:10 PM

It'll be hard to do because I don't buy a whole weeks food at once. (My fridge is too small). No cans of Irish stew that's for sure! lol

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Sunday, January 27, 2008 4:02:32 PM

lol

Sansanshan Monday, January 28, 2008 7:10:50 AM

It surprises me that considering all the junk food/processed food and soda pop that some of these families consume that they aren't more overweight. The worst family to me seems the Mexican one. That's a lot of coke!

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Monday, January 28, 2008 10:12:13 AM

Yeah right, that´s strange:confused:

ALLY G.ALLY_G Tuesday, January 29, 2008 6:29:14 AM

Interesting to see the different between the countries bigeyes

But the German family??? I guess, that isn't true... left

galadriel Tuesday, January 29, 2008 6:32:22 AM

I thought the German family was true...well that's what I ate when i was there, but I would say we had a lot more bread. Oh and we never ate pizza in a packet.

rogerleos Tuesday, January 29, 2008 7:56:28 PM

I like potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, pizza, mexican food, chinese food and salads. I will post few things I have into the fridge.

Sansanshan Wednesday, January 30, 2008 3:44:05 AM

Looking forward to seeing that Roger.

Those pictures really does put things in perspective Sandy...

Sarah angel292005 Sunday, February 3, 2008 3:00:39 PM

All the bread in Sicily! I have noticed that each family has an abundance of one thing or the other...very interesting.

" Ripping off other sites will not pay off." What's that supposed to mean? Pay off in what way? One of my friends emailed this. And I thought it would be interesting to compare and see what I eat for a week. Is my blog such an incredible public forum that anyone cares? It's just for my friends and family. Obviously they know I didn't take those shots. Don't you have anything better to do? I don't get paid for this site anyway. You're funny. Who are you anonymous? And why has it taken you over a year to find this post? FREAK!
