I'm trying

...but where is this all leading?

Just came back...

,

Another great underappreciated Canadian artist. Colin James. The first time I saw him perform was when I was in art school in the 1980's. It was at the Commodore ballroom which is a club famous for its dance floor. Underneath the wooden flooring is a layer of rubber tires. I kid you not. Can you imagine the bounce! Anyway, Colin is mostly known as a blues musician but has covered many styles, rock, rockabilly, country and big band. He has had a few hits of his own and is also well respected for his covers of famous blues tunes. Oh, one time I saw him play with the Chieftans. I couldn't believe how he held his own, and even shined against these masters. He can play any instrument he picks up, even the mandolin and flute. Incredible. He has a nice bum too. :eyes: Well, I remember taking my best friend Shelley to his concert in Salmon Arm (once again). It was her birthday and she wasn't holding back. (not that she ever did). Well, Colin came out strutting his stuff in some very nice leather pants. During one song he jumped down from the stage into the audience and performed right in front of Shelley and me.

Come on...nice bum eh?

The last time I saw him perform was an impromptu concert, just announced on the radio one day and the concert was a few days later. Lucky I heard about it! It wasn't as polished as his performance usually are, but in a way it was even better that way as he was trying out new songs on us. Here is his hit from that show/album...

I have bought a "best of Collin James" many years ago to have "Why'd You Lie" and I was quite happy with my purchase when I heard all the other songs.

Unfortunately, I have left this CD back in another life...

Yes, but it doesn't give me back my CDs.

There's a lot of them I should re-buy...
