Ever tried taking a picture of a bird while you are holding it and trying to lock the cat in another room?

Happily, birdee was okay and flew away. Not sure what it was. Sparrow sized but longer tail. Juvenile.
I'm also happy that Cleo brought it back to me. Lola always did that, and as far as I know she never killed a bird. She had a soft mouth like a bird dog. She caught a hummingbird one day and brought it back to me. It fit neatly in between her teeth. It was smaller than my thumb. I held it in my hand for a couple of minutes as it looked up at me with one eye. Then, without a breath it flew away. I always gave Lola a treat when she brought me a bird alive. I think it prevented her from eating them

Well, every cat needs a trick.(according to me!) Every cat has some little goofy thing that they are good at and that they repeat again and again. Lola's tricks were coming down trees upside down like a nuthatch, and finding her way up onto every roof in the neighbourhood. Edie could fetch, play volleyball (yes), and she would jump up on my feet when I was lying on my back stretching. She would then grab her tail from underneath. (it was very bizarre, she'd do it with most anyone). Ertha's trick would be to hide foil balls in strange places and then hunt them down (including shoes and toilet bowls). She would fetch too. Mini would play soccer with foil balls and could jump on command if you snapped your fingers. Now, it comes to Cleo. I haven't found her trick yet. I'm sure it's there, every cat has some repetitive behaviour. This is how the cat trainers for the Moscow circus train their cats. They find a behaviour the cat enjoys doing and then just praise it and reinforce it. I'm sure Cleo has some apptitude other than her loud voice at 4:00 a.m. Anyway, it's sure not airplane rides.
