Student #4: coughcoughcough.....Oh, this cough is making me angry....sorry...coughcoughcough....sorry....I don't know why I have to come here when I don't feel good....coughcoughcough....I don't really feel like reading today, do we have to read today....coughcoughcough

I felt like Student #4 at the beginning of September when it got me first time :left:

When I got home I wasn't feeling well, took my temperature and found I had a mild fever. It seems to be back to normal now, but I feel super tired. Somehow I think I'm just feeling paranoid. But, considering I've had kids sneezing and coughing on me all day (and this isn't the first day) is it a wonder? I had to put hand sanitizer on my face today when one of the sneezes hit me! :yuck:

I'm talking to my boss about this tomorrow, shouldn't have to deal with sick kids. Stupid parents anyway. :irked:

eeww... your school needs to suspend classes for a bit to let this wave pass. It sounds like the majority of kids have it so make them all stay away, get better and not pass it on to the teachers.

I don`t want to push your paranoia up but feeling tired is one of the usual symptoms :left: If it goes like this tomorrow, you should consider to have few sick days or whatever you may get for yourself. And maybe visit a doc :left:

No fever this morning. Feel pretty good actually. I went to bed early though, and it was too early because I then woke up at 3:00 am!

We can't suspend classes Spooksis, we are a private business. I have been told to refuse to treat really sick kids. Most parents have kept their kids home when really ill. These ones seem to be getting through the last little bit of it. The boy with the cough, he was away 2 weeks ago for a whole week. Last week he was fine, and now he has this dry cough. He has other health problems as well. I gave him warm water to drink and that seemed to help quite a bit.

And because we are private and parents pay a lot for our services they are reluctant to miss classes. Seriously, some stay home from school but come to lessons here.

SqueakeyCat 6. November 2009, 05:16

ooooooooh, i take it this is where you work that the kids are sick

sanshan 6. November 2009, 05:44

Yeah. I think they are like you, maybe had the flu and now have the nagging cough that won't go away. I don't think this flu is the same as the seasonal flu. For one, it is happening way earlier in the year.

How are you feeling?

SqueakeyCat 6. November 2009, 05:45

been battling a migrane for over a week now, it just don't want to go away, and neither does the cough & hacking of the cold / flu that i had in michigan.

SittingFox 6. November 2009, 20:03

Hmmm. Well, hoping for the best...

sanshan 7. November 2009, 01:29

I'm still fine. A little down because of the endless rain.

SittingFox 7. November 2009, 07:59

Eh, that is why I didn't plan to stay on the Island past October...
