I'm trying

...but where is this all leading?

My bwain hurtz

, ,

Day 2 of massive headache.
Reasons for migraine like headache:

a) Too much tension-filled driving in the big city and at fast speeds on windy mountain roads while passing huge transport trucks.

b) Worrying and waiting by the phone for cowardly interviewers to phone telling the unfortunate news.

c) Tossing and turning all night trying to sleep.

d) Thinking about that email I was or wasn’t going to send. (Hun, I sent it. That’s one worry down.)

e) Weariness of being a NLB

f) All of the above

I’ve had these headaches before, not very often. Usually comes from too much swimming, a big knot forms in my shoulder blade and somehow pinches a nerve in my neck. And the pain begins.

Yesterday I just wanted to sleep it off but I had to drive 2 hours to another city, in 40 degree heat in a car with no AC, :faint: where my little brother lives. He’s off on a 2 week vacation and needs someone to watch his Cat Empire. He has an older cat Shooz, cranky fat thing that only likes him, and then this new teenage Bengal kitten, Belize. She hasn’t quite figured out the rules on Cat Planet yet. Still believes its okay to pounce on human face in the middle of the night and then and pace back and forth in the hallway...rrrrmeoow rrrrrmeow demanding a chase around the house. Time for Cat Nanny 911. Aunt San's school for wayward cats.

Her favorite toy though, is the laser stud finder. This is very convenient for migraine sufferers, just lie back on the couch, point the red light at the floor, wall, and the cat will chase it around for hours. Cheap lazy entertainment for all.

Anyway, I’m going to have to hit the drugstore today in search for stronger drugs. A proper therapeutic massage would probably help but its Saturday and I’m unfamiliar with this city and its services. Drugs are easier.

Time to lie down again. Sigh.

A bad haikuIt's all in the cards

oooh-errrr

Breeedge, you're a brave 'un, yer'are.

Cor...sending the e-mail just like that.

Sorry to hear about the headache :frown:

The cats sound delightful in an exhausting kind of way though..good luck with the cowardly interviewers....

And courage little NLB'er; this too shall pass and one day you'll loook back and laugh at the anxiety.

The day I decided to put my application in for returning to Canada - I lost it in my car because some scooter cut me off in the traffic. I was so furious, I had to get to the side off the road and calm down otherwise I know I'd have done the poor guy some damage.

anyway. This too shall pass..

Detach. Simply Detach - or buy some nice shampoo dream :D :D

Take care
Hungry

wickedlizard 6. August 2006, 21:31

love that cat! he or she? is gorgeous!!!

sanshan 7. August 2006, 04:12

She. She is a purebred Bengal . Very lively and demanding. What a voice on her, worse than a siamese. Loves the water too.

hungryghost 7. August 2006, 05:21

Corrrr
whatta lucky cat, so nice and slim - slim enough to wear horizontal stripes too!

:D :D

wickedlizard 7. August 2006, 09:54

Oh a Siameses´s meow is terrible! I can only imagine what this one sounds like! She is a beauty though!

Mickeyjoe_irl 9. August 2006, 00:01

Hey Sister San,

In all the excitement I forgot to mention what a stunner Belize is. I used to housesit three siamese, they were such beauties I coud forgive their 'chattiness'.

wickedlizard 9. August 2006, 00:10

I still want to have a siamese cat one day! My friend Sally told me that they are excellent guard dogs, ahem, cats.

She told me this story about her infamous sheepdog named Winston who used to get on the bus to get in the local pub Dorset. Then the dog would proceed into the lounge area and await for his Guiness. Lap it all up and then get back on the bus, home again: Sally was surprised at the end of the month when she got the bills. And you´re asking is this true?

I guarantee you, it is... She brought her Irish wolfhound Rosy to the Azores to live and even she was partial to her beer. Rosy passed away about 6 years ago, heart failure.

Well, about her Siamese cat story, when I started rambling. Winston went to get stitches on his ear at the vet´s. And as dogs will do, he got home and proceeded to scratch that particular ear and broke all the stitches.
Sally zoomed off to the vet´s again with Winston leaving the house all open for the world to see. And guess who was hissing at anyone who came near that front door!!!

sanshan 9. August 2006, 00:13

I had this siamese cat , Mini, she was the vainest thing. My brother and I used to dress her up, put jewelery on her, clip on earrings. We even made a little mink stole for her. We'd just say, "Pretty Mini, Pretty Mini", and she'd just sit there like the queen she was.

wickedlizard 9. August 2006, 00:26

animals have a personality all their own!!!

love them!!!!

momable 15. July 2007, 00:08

San, this is a true remedy: Eat a banana, lie in a dark room with banana peel, the inside part, on forehead. Get well...

angel292005 2. September 2007, 16:26

Hey San,
Hope you feel better soon. Headaches are not fun. :frown:

sanshan 2. September 2007, 16:32

???? This headache was last year July 2006. I sure hope I'm better soon!

momable 2. September 2007, 20:21

Very beautiful cat!

Drink water, a lot! PUt Vicks Vaporub on temples and undernose, and on neck and shoulders!

Eat banana, put peal on forehead or eyes, fruit side down.

Lie down.

Relax, laugh, relax in dark, quiet!

Get well!

Oh, let aspirin dissolve on tongue!

This works for me.

sanshan 2. September 2007, 21:00

This happened a year ago. Why are people responding to this now?

momable 2. September 2007, 22:16

I just got a notice about this. I don't know why? So, I responded.

Why did someone send me a notice that this had a comment?

Mickeyjoe_irl 2. September 2007, 23:07

Old watches never die, the comments just peter out.
