Hot Pepper, do you have one?

This is the variety of hot peppers that I love most to eat while having a lunch or dinner especially with soups or cooked foods from the Philippines. I enjoy eating more when I have a hot pepper in front or on the table, they are actually a good appetizer to me. I got this habit from my father who eat a lot or enjoy eating while having hot peppers. In my country there are heaps of hot pepper varieties small and big, and are commonly grown in the backyards. Filipinos here in Australia also plant and grew them in their own backyards and some people do make pickled peppers out from them.
A family friend whose husband is a German gave me another variety of pepper; it’s like a bell, grows from green to red too, hot but then after sometime it dissipates easily. The brother of my mother who had a farm in a nearby hill close to their community used to ate hot peppers as his lunch plus salt, and that completes a good lunch for a day to him.
