Our children

,

There's that luxury of happiness that I felt when I had a glimpsed of this kid full of energy and vigor in his way of looks and behavior.
I got a hard time taking a good photo because I was chasing him until he suddenly stopped and posed infront of me.
Will you feel the same thing as mine if you see one?

Well, much more perhaps if this kid is my son.

I still remember those times when my two sons were of his age.

Of course they were fragile but they were so active, agile and very funny that in no time you'll love to have bonding moments with them as much as possible as every day.

You'll probably wouldn't believe it but I witnessed them grow up; from birth until to these moments they're now in their young adult life.

Oh, time is so fast! Every moments with the kids before are now just a part, a sort of memories, memories to treasure and to be hold close to the heart.

As a father there is always that advantage of being with the kids or family, every day.

Those precious moments with the kids will certainly be lost if we, as a father works somewhere, far from our family. I admire those who venture to be so, but there's a lot more to enjoy and gain when we do live up with them.

Vice versa those kids will feel the closeness, love and affection from us if we are always at their sight and at any time at play or sharing jokes with them.

As they say, the best time to enjoy our children's very moments with us is when they're in their tender years.

Couples who are blessed with children are indeed lucky enough.

Some couples who can't bear their own kids do try hard having one through the modern medical technique of IVF.

I came across a news about a woman who even tried to access the sperm of her dead husband just to have a child from him.

There's one case of that here in Sydney.
She was granted the right to access her husband's sperm but had to flew up to USA to have it done because a law in Sydney requires both partners to have a written consent before doing so.

Well, that's life!
Children are indeed the apple of our eyes.

Kids are Angels in the house!

, ,

I will never trade with anything the happiness I felt when children were in the house with me playing whatever it was that will please them and reward you in return with a smile and a fullness of laughter. Taking care of these kids is of course a bit challenging because mums and dads give their whole hearted time, understanding and patience to them.

At age one to three are I think the best time to realize that we gain and earn those happy moments with them, when the time for them to learn how to crawl, and then start learning how to walk and at the same time some words of anything are being uttered, though not legible enough to be understood.

But the worst is then expected when they start to roam around taking and tasting whatever they can find around them, when they start to grab anything, scatter and litter them on the floor, break them, wreak those that are so dear and priceless. This time I believe, require us more patience and understanding especially for those new mums.

Oh, those were the times I had, but now that my kids are grown up, there are again new avenues of approach to explore and apply on how to deal with them more patiently.

Easter Show 2010

, , , ...

This is an annual festival in Sydney during Easter and there are plenty of shows that entertain the adults as well as the children. It runs usually a week of entertainment covering musical, theatre, rides for the children, show bags, animal shows and competition, dairy, agriculture, flower and garden show, cake decorating and competition, and many more.

Usually, people flock more during the last day of the show because the Ticket or admission/entrance is reduced to a mimimal and affordable amount by the general public.

Below are the photos we took during the recently concluded show, and there are more in my photo sections on "Flower Power", "Cake decorating and competition", and "Easter Show 2010."

Justin Bieber

This Canadian teen singer who became the latest teen craze around the world supposed to have an early morning show at the Circular Quay in Sydney today, but it was cancelled due to the massive crowd swarming the venue, thus the Police cancelled the show, as there were few injuries already done to some children and they said public safety is of paramount importance.

The show was supposedly be held at Martins Place where Channel 7 the sponsoring TV channel is housed, but was moved to Circular Quay to accomodate more people.

Families and children from Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and many more traveled early and put up camps there just to be at the early morning show of this teen, but fully frustrated when they received the news that the show was cancelled. The people and children were still screaming, jumping, and chanting his name.

But still, majority of these children went up to Martins Place where Channel 7 is stationed and chanted his name until the kid was smuggled out and was shown to his fans just to calm them down. He too, sung his songs to the delight and joy of the viewers.

Do You Love Children?

, ,

I love children, they wipe away my loneliness and make my day light and spirit up high. They are the angels of our families, embrace us tight when they see us back home from a day’s work, and call us “Papa”, adore us with hugs and kisses. Isn’t that lovely! The feeling is awesome!

Here is a remarkable poem of a wonderful guy, a poet well known in Literature books. I did learn this during my high school days, hope you like it.

The Children's Hour
By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Between the dark and the daylight,
When the night is beginning to lower,
Comes a pause in the day's occupations,
That is known as the Children's Hour.

I hear in the chamber above me
The patter of little feet,
The sound of a door that is opened,
And voices soft and sweet.

From my study I see in the lamplight,
Descending the broad hall stair,
Grave Alice, and laughing Allegra,
And Edith with golden hair.

A whisper, and then a silence:
Yet I know by their merry eyes
They are plotting and planning together
To take me by surprise.

A sudden rush from the stairway,
A sudden raid from the hall!
By three doors left unguarded
They enter my castle wall!

They climb up into my turret
O'er the arms and back of my chair;
If I try to escape, they surround me;
They seem to be everywhere.

They almost devour me with kisses,
Their arms about me entwine,
Till I think of the Bishop of Bingen
In his Mouse-Tower on the Rhine!

Do you think, o blue-eyed banditti,
Because you have scaled the wall,
Such an old mustache as I am
Is not a match for you all!

I have you fast in my fortress,
And will not let you depart,
But put you down into the dungeon
In the round-tower of my heart.

And there will I keep you forever,
Yes, forever and a day,
Till the walls shall crumble to ruin,
And moulder in dust away!

Arab world experiences rapid population explosion

, ,

I came across a discussion of the above subject from the World Focus.

Patrick Gerland one of the contributor for the article said that compared to other regions, the Arab world has been experiencing one of the fastest population growth rates (over 2% per year), which has led to more than its doubling within the last 30 years. This growth is exacerbated by early and intense nuptiality and very high marital fertility.

While other regions around the world are promoting family planning and other birth controls measures the Arab world are on the other side of the coin. Excessive population growth anywhere presents a strain on limited global resources.

One comment posted for this article said, If a child is born its god’s will. If a child is murdered by its mother in the womb that is a choice for the mother to make. It seems that Arabs respect life and have more children, the opposite of that is the disrespect of life and abortion. In effect the Arabs have taken the moral high ground.

Well, it’s for you to decide, is the western world particularly the Christians in general doing the worst kind of preserving and or controlling human growth in the world through abortion, family planning, etc.?
