An already glum week has drawn to a disappointing conclusion.
Arsenal were dumped out of the Champions League last night and with that loss any chance of the club winning silverware has gone out the window.
Pisses me off. They play probably the most attractive attacking brand football you'll see but always fall to teams with less talent who sit back and defend for the entire match. The Beauty doesn't always get the better of the Beast.
Not all is doom and gloom though and the team should do better come next season what with all the newer players having settled in by then.
What I won't be able to live with though are my two friends, one a
Manchester United supporter and the other a
Chelsea supporter, crowing about how well their teams are doing.
As is obvious by now the weekends spent at my flat are passed played with the three of us playing the "my team is better than your team" game.
And now Arsenal get dumped out of the biggest football tournament in Europe rather unceremoniously.
May the good Lord give me strength.
I see light at the end of the tunnel in the form of
Liverpool FC. Come on, you Scousers!!!
