Look at that!!! I'm on orkut!!! For the second time. My first adventure lasted all of two weeks. I have 30 friends!!! I'm popular!!! I look forward to deleting myself again!!!

Anybody else want to make 'friendship' with me?

It's boring, being bored.

In some pretty sad news, Sevilla football player Antonio Puerta passed away after suffering two heart attacks while playing a football match. A tribute here.

It helps put stuff into perspective.

This weekend was spent doing what I call "Low living, low thinking", a.k.a 'The purposeful pursuit of jobless-ness with the expenditure of minimal energy'.

It is a difficult art to master but with the right ingredients and a motivated lazy soul, perfection is possible.

Cue cold milk, cornflakes and cartoons and during the latter part of the weekend cold beer and football. Only a little though. Beer, not football.

As far as opening weekends go this years EPL season got off to a bang. The champions drew at home, Arsenal won, Chelsea won at home playing decently attractive football for a change and the rest of the matches were watchable. I know, I watched them all. Too much of a good thing is not a bad thing.

The plan to buy my license today went down the drain faster than I could pull myself out of bed. Apparently, the driving school owner has gone on a pilgrimage. Must have heard that I was about to start driving, and I drive like a drunken aunty. It's not pretty.

Monday is back. As usual I have nothing to do and I'm pretty busy at it. If you discount the shopping for cornflakes bit......

Finally!!!! The new football season is upon us.....YAHOOOOO!!! Two months without any football is a bit much to bear. At this point I'm so desperate that even watching Wigan play Derby will qualify as an orgiastic experience.

As always I shall be supporting Arsenal F.C. A pre-season filled with player transfers and major upheavals has left all the pundits writing off the team's chances but I am optimistic.

This has also left me susceptible to the taunts of my Manchester United and Chelsea supporting flatmates. Disgusting fellows (Man Utd and Chelsea, not my flatmates).

In the spirit of times to come I have been practising my remote handling skills and beer drinking. This weekend is going to be spent very productively.

Brilliant!!!

So after an 8 year love affair it's finally over. Or so it seems. Official confirmation is yet to come in from Arsenal FC but it seems as if Theirry Henry is off to FC Barcelona.

Au Revoir Titi. Thanks for the memories.

P.S : Of course if all this turns out to be baseless rumour then I'll be back on Monday gloating about how FC Barcelona can kiss my backside. They still can....

Arsenal, Liverpool, football

An already glum week has drawn to a disappointing conclusion. Arsenal were dumped out of the Champions League last night and with that loss any chance of the club winning silverware has gone out the window.

Pisses me off. They play probably the most attractive attacking brand football you'll see but always fall to teams with less talent who sit back and defend for the entire match. The Beauty doesn't always get the better of the Beast.

Not all is doom and gloom though and the team should do better come next season what with all the newer players having settled in by then.

What I won't be able to live with though are my two friends, one a Manchester United supporter and the other a Chelsea supporter, crowing about how well their teams are doing.

As is obvious by now the weekends spent at my flat are passed played with the three of us playing the "my team is better than your team" game.

And now Arsenal get dumped out of the biggest football tournament in Europe rather unceremoniously.

May the good Lord give me strength.

I see light at the end of the tunnel in the form of Liverpool FC. Come on, you Scousers!!!

Another Saturday and I find myself back in the office to provide assistance to all the client's who won't be calling in for any. They have better things to do on a Saturday.

So I look to Google video for entertainment and hunt the office network for music that being cleverly hidden away to prevent being detected by the network guys and monitoring software. Question is, if its that cleverly hidden away how do I find it?

Liverpool vs Arsenal is on tv right and I've been catching snippets of it. Its a quiet day as far as far as wrk goes but you never know when someone might ambush you. I've been following Julio Baptista's career with some interest and am hoping that he gets a good run out today. Wenger has been using him sparingly over the season and fromthe initial glimpses of his game it appears that he hasn't gotten used to the pace of the English game. Its just a season long loan from Real Madrid so with luck he should get a good run of games by then and settle into the squad paving the way for a permanent deal. Arsene knows.

I've found my music and I like it. Lifting my mood already. Wondering what I can do to occupy myself tomorrow. A Sunday. Sundays are usually quiet. Maybe a few friends will come over. Spoken to a cousin in England and she's doing alright. Need to call home and maybe catch up with my bro.....

A service call has just come in....got to run....

Another week, another weekend! Was supposed to work on Saturday but got lucky. I will hence eat Choco Pops and go to sleep, get up, play cricket and watch football.

Get drunk on Sunday. Recover in time for Arsenal vs Man U and Chelsea vs Liverpool. Up the Arse!

Get back to work on Monday.

Ah!! Such is the pleasure to be derived from the mundane......
