Anthurium! I grow them too in NH but indoors LOL. When I lived in FL they thrived outdoors like my orchids and borganvilla. The photo of the purple borganvilla you have first in this ablum is beautiful, at least I think that's what it is but I never had a purple one. I had pink, red, peach and orange. I loved the photos of your pets too I don't know about you but mine have me thoroughly trained
Yes I am owned by two lovely cats. They have me well trained also. And though this photo does not show it well this plant is indoors also. It would not survive the heat where I live. I did not know the name. It's tag says it is a Hawaiian Valcano Plant and it is growing on a chunk of lava rock which sits in a dish of water. I don't know how it lives like that, it must be
I have 3 cats, I recently lost the one that is my icon. He was almost 18!!! I haven't had a relationship with a man that lasted more than 9 years LOL.
I think they can tolerate the heat, maybe not direct sun or not too much of it if they're outside but heat shouldn't bother them since they're native to Hawaii...mine did fine outdoors in FL but I never had them in direct sunlight, now I do but they're in a window so there is the sunscreen effect although I have one under the lights with my orchids that does ok and another in a window that only gets morning sun and it does fine too. Still, if it's doing well where it is leave it there, that's my motto with plants
Oh sorry about your loss. I sometimes think losing a pet is worse than losing a man. No... not sometimes. Yeah, I'm of the opinion as well that if it works don't mess with it. My cat Rhet dinks out of the bowl it sits in.
