Life's Little Pleasures #422 - Khadman's Art Mastery

, , ,

Well I went to pick up my parcel, and it was my picture frame \o/

Now I can proudly display the N+ header that Khadgar drew. I just have to convince Wifety to let me hang it on the nursery wall...

Just ignore the white line down the side. I need to trim the photo a bit more ¬_¬

Life's Little Annoyances #356 - Having A Letterbox That Is Too Small For Parcels

Damn you, letterbox! Now I have to wait a whole 24 hours to get my parcel, and make the dreaded trip to the Post Office to pick it up!

Life's Little Pleasures #412 - Operation Baby Watch™

, , , ...

Khadgar introduced me to Twitter, and I am slowly coming to the conclusion that it's one of the best things on the web. I love the concept of micro-blogging (if that's the right term), and it's ideal for my random thoughts. The fact that it integrates so well with other blogging platforms makes it a great centre to my online world.

I was dubious at first (not being a fan of this social networking malarkey), but what sold it for me is the ability to send updates by text messages. This is going to be a major part of Operation Baby Watch™, which is potentially going to begin very soon. I'm trying to get friends and family to sign up to Twitter so that I can update them on Holl•E's arrival. It's not because I'm being a cheapskate, sending one message to update several people at once, but I daresay I'll have other things on my mind when the day arrives, and the ability to broadcast news with one message is going to be very handy indeed.

I also love the ability to send picture message updates via Twitpic. I doubt Wifety will be in a very photogenic mood, but it's going to be nice to be able to share photos quickly. On a sidenote, whilst MyOpera has this ability, it never manages to remove my operator's signature (even though I tell it to), which is a little frustrating. MyOpera is still the best blogging platform that I've come across, and it makes me happy that my posts get sent to Twitter via Twitterfeed.

I don't know how many people will be involved with Operation Baby Watch™, but those who are currently following my Twitter updates don't really have a choice in the matter... muhahahahaha!

Life's Little Pleasures #402 - Fantastic Contraption

It's like Scrapheap Challenge, but without Kryton. Check out the multi-wheeled tank I made - it's no match for a puny wall.
