Life's Little Pleasures #586 - GPSed

Those following me on Twitter will have noticed my new obsession, GPSed.com. The GPS on my phone is actually pretty good, and I've started to discover some decent applications that make use of it.
With GPSed not only can you post your current position to Twitter, and other networking sites sites (a lazy man's Plazes, if you will), but you can also save the journeys you make.
These can then be uploaded to the site and displayed in all their glory on Google Maps. Whilst these are probably of limited interest to anyone, I can't help being impressed. It's a simple process, and when you upload your journey to Google Earth to see it in glorious 3D, it's very cool.
There are some problems, however. Apparently I did this journey at an average speed of 75mph, which is impressive, seeing as I was stuck in traffic most of the way. My manic driving might explain the manner in which I tackled the roundabout above...
I guess it's mainly meant for walks, and it does work better on pedestrian journeys. It also makes use of the geotagging feature of my phone, so it can pin pictures I take along the way to the map.
It's a very nice idea, and although I have some security concerns (maybe I shouldn't be displaying my movement in such a public manner), I'm very impressed with it.
