Yes, it does mean that my lightsaber swinging has to be a bit more restrained, and any battles with rogue Jedi and Rancors are going to be a little subdued, but it's the best way to play!
Khadgar introduced me to Twitter, and I am slowly coming to the conclusion that it's one of the best things on the web. I love the concept of micro-blogging (if that's the right term), and it's ideal for my random thoughts. The fact that it integrates so well with other blogging platforms makes it a great centre to my online world.
I was dubious at first (not being a fan of this social networking malarkey), but what sold it for me is the ability to send updates by text messages. This is going to be a major part of Operation Baby Watch™, which is potentially going to begin very soon. I'm trying to get friends and family to sign up to Twitter so that I can update them on Holl•E's arrival. It's not because I'm being a cheapskate, sending one message to update several people at once, but I daresay I'll have other things on my mind when the day arrives, and the ability to broadcast news with one message is going to be very handy indeed.
I also love the ability to send picture message updates via Twitpic. I doubt Wifety will be in a very photogenic mood, but it's going to be nice to be able to share photos quickly. On a sidenote, whilst MyOpera has this ability, it never manages to remove my operator's signature (even though I tell it to), which is a little frustrating. MyOpera is still the best blogging platform that I've come across, and it makes me happy that my posts get sent to Twitter via Twitterfeed.
I don't know how many people will be involved with Operation Baby Watch™, but those who are currently following my Twitter updates don't really have a choice in the matter... muhahahahaha!
Let's get past the dodgy and possibly less-than-legal trailer, and focus on the fact that it's Tron 2. TRON FREAKIN' 2!!!!! And it looks awesome.
UPDATE: So it appears it wasn't that legal afterall. Here's a more rubbish version.
So today is my birfday 29 years old! I've had a good day, pottering about, not doing a lot. It's been great
I've spent most of my time setting up (and playing with) my new laptop, which I've cunningly included in the above photo. Pip made me bacon sarnies for breakfast, and we spent the morning together before she went off to work.
And tonight we're having take away \o/ Top burpday!
For some reason I remembered this cartoon today. I have fond memories of it from watching it when I was younger (it was made in 1988). I tried to track it down then, and could not find it for toffee. That's why I lurve the Internet - just Google and ye will find!
