It's been a long wait but finally Opera 10, codename "Peregrine", is here in early alpha form. It's not yet clear how much Opera 10 is going to change between now and its release, but what is clear is that the Opera team felt that the incorporation of their latest Presto 2.2 rendering engine into to the Opera UI, combined with a few other tempting features, was too good to keep to themselves. So what's new?

Anyone expecting a User Interface overhaul will be disappointed. Opera 10 has a near identical UI to the 9.x series, with the exception of changes to support some of the new features (see below). That's the bad news - now for the good...
