Sailing in Greece

Leg 6: Poros - Athens (32 nm)

After a hole day in harbour, we took off for Athens, with a planned stop in Aigina, this time on the east side. But this was not a place with a harbour, so instead we went directly back to Athens. Wind picked up as we approached Athens with good direction. Evening at the harbour restaurant, Kitchen Bar.

As our trip comes to an end, I would like to summarize:

One week sailing, 290 nautical miles (530 km), 8 islands, a lot of sun, shifting wind are keywords to describe this trip. Everyone is happy and no major injuries.

The plane captain is about to take off, so this is it, back to Norway

Leg 4: Naxsos - Paros - Milos (53 nm)

We're all sorry we could not blog this entry yesterday, but as you read this and the next entry, you'll understand we're been quite busy sailing.

After a quiet night and a lazy morning we took off for Paros to eat dinner. The a very short trip with absolutely no wind. Running engine, again! In Paros Marit found a hair artist which could wash her hair in a massase chair for only 2 Euro. She has happy the rest of the day.

Marit and the skipper played the required game of chess at one of the sidewalk cafes facing the sea (guess who won). Good temperature, and the wind picked up as we ate dinner and we decided to sail a distance during night. Destination Milos. Wind at about 15 kts SW, so we had to do one tack. Crew changed as the wind faded out, and we had to run engine again.

In the narrow pass at the entrance to Milos, Frode and Henrik met two more playful dolphins. Arrived Milos at 9 am.
