Happy Easter!

We had our traditional Easter Egg hunt this year with the Carolino/Au's. This year we invited a couple more kids and it was also Philip's first easter. Tracy invited her nephew and nieces and Tien and his family were also there. We had 6 kids in total: Philip, Kaylee, Nicholas, Minh Ahn, Emily, Christina and Andy. Mom and Tracy did a great job preparing baskets and eggs and it looked like everyone had a fun time. Our lawn had ballons, egg signs and of course dozens of brightly colored eggs for the kids to find. I'll try to post new pictures later, but I'm debating if I should do it here or on the new site that I am preparing.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and a happy Easter with their family!

Changing domain names...

Hi guys,

Sorry it's been quiet on our side lately. Valentine came and went and now we are looking forward to Philip's first Easter. Philip is now 8 months old and he is so aware of his surroundings. With the weather getting warmer he really enjoys our walks outside. It also looks like he might skip crawling all together. He is able to stand for several seconds and last longer each time he practices. It is also tax season so both Tracy and I will be busy since we will be filing jointly for the 1st time. Otherwise everyone is doing well and we are all settled in our routines.

I was debating doing more updates to the site and an opportunity for major changes has come up. It has been almost 2 years since we started scottandtracy.net. We initially started it to document our preparations for our wedding and after the wedding we used it to document our life as a family and of course Philip growing up. With our hosting contract expiring we have decided to move to a new host (more space and newer tools) and hopefully a better website overall. The changes will come slowly, but the first big change is a new domain name. You can now access this page using:

www.thefillers.net

Please update your bookmarks since we will be retiring scottandtracy.net at the end of April.

Beamer time!

Not sure if you remember his 1st picture on his Beamer from Uncle Rene. Check this out.

Philip is now 7 months old. Look at mister "Big Trouble". He Teething again and will hopefully have his first teeth in soon. Sadly this is really bothering him so he has been very cranky. sad Check his pics out
here.

Philip sitting up on his own

Everyday brings something new with Philip. One day we decided to sit him upright and see what he does and tada!

Wonder Filler's unite!

Ok, that was a bit corny. Not feeling great. I started feeling under the weather last night and now I'm coughing and have a sore throat. At least it is a good excuse to work on our blog.

It's been about a year since Trickie and Rebecca were here last. They came for our wedding (boy time flies) and back then things were a bit hectic so we didn't have much time to hang out. This time around they stayed for 3 weeks.

Trickie went on a shopping frenzy and bought a ton of computer stuff. Beccs was more restrained but we did try to fatten both of them up with lots of holiday food, buffets and fresh crab from Paul A. Both Tracy and I had to work. Tracy started a new job before Xmas and I had signed up to work over the holidays. It wasn't too bad though since things were quiet and I took a few days off in their last week. Since it was the first time for Philip to meet his Ninong (godfather) and Auntie in person we had extra hands on the Baby Sitting team. Philip really loved having Uncle Trickie and Auntie Beccs taking care of him and playing with him. His Ninong made him his BLY (Boy LawaY) "Homey".

Here are some shots of the whole family together as well as Philip's 6 1/2 month shots.

Villareals at Christmas

Things have been so busy lately so I'm catching up with posting the pictures that we took. We hosted Christmas dinner and had the Bohnens, Carolinos and Villareals over. Here are the pictures that we took.

Happy New Year 2008!

Happy New Year everyone! Can't believe how 2007 flew by. Hope you all started the new year well and with friends/family.

Things were busy over Xmas and New Year. We host Christmas Day with the Bay Area Villareals. We also had the Riazi's and Bohnen's visiting. It was also Philip's 1st Christmas and incidentally he turned 6 months old on Christmas day. On a more somber note Lola was sick over the holidays and at 94 you can discount anything. Thankfully she is doing better.

On the 26th Trickie and Rebecca arrived from the Philippines. They will be staying till the 20th so we will have a lot of time to do some serious shopping wink. It was also the first opportunity to meet Philip. Trickie is his Ninong.

We then hosted New Years for with the Canada and Florida Ruizes. The house was packed, but Tracy, Philip and I didn't last long. We have been staying up late with all the parties (Paul, Michen, Kaylee and Nick came by earlier in the evening to eat mom's Kare Kare) and just barely stayed up till midnight and then fell sound asleep. The Ruiz's are planning on staying for a few days in San Francisco and continuing their mini reunion.

On the Dao side Thally and her boyfriend Chris are visiting over the holidays. We visited as much as we could before Xmas and New Year and Philip's Ong, Ba and Aunties were happy to see him. It was also Mom Dao's birthday on New Year's day so Tracy and I cooked chicken adobo for her party. Tracy loves adobo and thought would be a nice change instead buying lechon. wink

I need to post a bunch of pictures. I'll try to do that over the next few days.

Take care everyone! Happy and successful 2008!

Bunch of updates and new pictures

Hi folks,

Things have been pretty busy the last few weeks since our last update. First Thanksgiving, then both Tracy and my birthday. Then getting ready for the Christmas season. wink The year is almost over and 2008 is just around the corner!

First a bunch of updates about Philip. He is getting big and heavy. He is now 5 months, 16 1/5 pounds and 25 1/2 inches. He started eating solids. Not full time but taste testing cereal, peas and I think carrots this week. He likes the texture and it most be a nice change from drinking milk all the time. Still no teeth, but maybe his front two for Christmas? He is also getting into the Xmas spirit and had his first photos with Santa. Check out the pictures here.

Scott had a fun contest at work. His whole department got mini Christmas trees and had to decorate them for a contest. Tracy and mom got into the spirit of things and ended up coaching and helping decorate the tree. There was some really stiff competition so he didn't win any prizes but he's proud of the end result. wink

It was Tracy's birthday early December. Scott's is late November. p We kept things quiet this year since we preferred to spend the time with each other and Philip. Also with the cold season we really didn't want to take Philip out a lot. We still had a lot of fun and you can find a bunch of picture from Tracy here.

Next up are some pictures from Philip's cousin Nicholas. It was a fun party and it was nice having all the 1 year and less new additions to the Villareal clan all together. Nic was a really cute especially when he started clapping when he was supposed to blow out the candles. He gets so enthusiastic about clapping. smile

Last but not least a couple shots from our Xmas photo session at home. Everyone dressed up in red and we had a good time taking the pictures. We are still learning to take family pictures with little Philip. It was hard getting pictures with everyone smiling and looking into the camera.

I still need to post the pictures I took from Thanksgiving. My cousin Basti and his girlfriend Nicki visited us over the holidays. They experienced their 1st Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales!!!. We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Carolinos and drove up to San Francisco for the day. Food was great and we all were stuffed afterwards.

Trickie and Beccs are planning to visit after Christmas. They have a couple of appointments to take care of up till Christmas so they can make it. Still it will be great if they can visit since it has been over a year since we last saw each other and it was during the wedding so we could really hang out.

That's it for now. Don't forget to post comments on the pictures so that we know you are alive. wink

Jumperoo and daddy crashing

Every tried a Jumperoo? Uncle Heiko recommended it to Tracy and she had to buy one a few months back. She didn't know that the baby has to be a couple of months old and needs to be able to support their own neck. Well at close to 5 months Philip was dying to find some new entertainment so mommy sewed up the halter and but an excersize disk under it so Philip could get started. Check out this video. wink

We're back!

Good news everyone! We are back in Santa Clara. We moved back from Yuba City last weekend and everyone is happy to be back home and together.

A lot of things have happened since my last post. Tracy and I celebrated our paper wedding anniversary. Then we celebrated Tracy's grandmother's one year death anniversary and of course this week was Philip's first Halloween!

Check out the pictures below. wink
