Google vs. Medeea Web Works

, , ,

Yesterday, we where googling for "medeea web works" just for fun and it was interesting to see that a blog post of mine aperead on position 7 of the search results. So i started thinking what could i do to make it appear even higher. I mean for "medeeaweb works" my linkedin pages is first and my profile on this beautiful site is third so that means there is room for improvement.

Why would i want to appear higher on the search results you might ask. Well the answer is pretty simple, i just want to see what it takes to make it into the top ten for some keywords. Knowing this i could use my blog to promote some websites that Medeea Web Works makes or maybe i could use this knowledge to promote my own creations if/when they are made public.

P.s. if asked i shall remove this post

Impossible Is Nothing

Nothing is impossible, just a quick reminder if you've forgotten it.

Hypochondria

, ,

I just arrived from the gym where i have been going lately and I'm kinda of sick. So i bought a bottle of Sprite(prietenii stiu de ce) and settled down to tell you my readers a nice little story.

Today at the gym we where working out with another Trainer and he comes up to me while i was on a "stepper" only to notice that my hear rate is somewhat high around 170-180, he promptly asks me what my age is. When i replied he was kind of shocked and tells me that some one at my age should have a heart rate somewhere at 150.

I did not know what to reply so i was like, well in the first case scenario I'll explode. He then very seriously told me that i could have a heart attack and i should go to a doctor to have him check it out.

I do have to admit that this was the first time ever that i felt bad after a workout, even though I've been going there for a week now. Oh well i always thought i had a small heart that's why i try to share it with as manny people i can.

First Opera

, ,

Interesting too see that most people only just discovered Opera. It is also interesting to see that out of the old versions the most popular was Opera 3. Opera 3...ho ho way back, way back to circa 1997. I remember 1997, I was young and I didn't even know what the Internet was, and here i am now today 11 years later looking for answers on Google, blogging on my Opera and surfing the web with my phone using Opera Mini and Opera Mobile.

My first Opera version was 7.5 and i remember i had dial-up which meant i always got up at 2 AM and surfed the web then because between 2 AM and 4AM it was free. Yeah a lot of sleeps nights back then. Now i get up at what time i want and the Internet is just button away. My do i feel old or what?

.ro?

Lately i have been posting a few things about the Romanian Internet. First i talk about the curve ball it through me then i talked about well you know what.

So it's only natural for me to follow up on those to posts with another another. I'm trying to get the whole .ro Internet scene but i just can't. For years now I've been living in my own little ".com" bubble where everything was in English and where everything made more or less sense.

Now that i see, that a ".ro" is forming around me i kind of felt neglected so i did what any normal person would do and research it a bit  It looks like there are a few big players on the market and a lot of small ones. The big players don't care about their users and the small ones don't dare to enter the domain of the big "companies".

Did that make any sense? Basically what I'm trying to say is that i too am going to invest in the .ro bubble in the next few months and until now the competition looks pretty weak, from a technical point of view. From a financial view the money that changes hands for small/medium websites is just crazy. I mean just recently i read that a website which exists from 2006 but only started to be heard of recently is worth more then 400.000Euro, even thought it offers almost nothing.

The most interesting thing is that they claim to be "ad" supported but i failed to find one ad on the whole website. That amount just blows my mind, i can't understand what is so valuable on it and no I'm not gonna link to it P:

This posts makes no sense at all so I'll stop while I'm ahead and end this post with the following words of wisdom:

Users are the heart and soul of every website, DO NOT ignore them or some other website will come along and take them all away from you.

Screensaver

, ,

What's in a screen saver and why do people always come and watch my mine? Is it because of the nice dance moves or is it something else.

BTW, my screensaver is "rarely" on I do not even know what my screensaver looks like

Interesting Day?

,

Do I need to add anything?Just another day at work on a saturday.

I wasn't alone in the office, but all of us where just sitting in front of the PC pushing the keys on our keyboards, pushing the mouse from point A to point B and of course clicking everything that could and should be clicked.

Knock, knock

, ,

I just watched Rambo 4. Why did i watch it? Well after you've seen Rambo, Rambo II and even Rambo III you can't ignore the fact that Stallone has made another sequel. The movie itself wasn't bad, but it seemed very short and it lacked a certain gung-ho attitude Rambo always had. Yes sure, there are body parts flying all over the place, but it doesn't do justice to the other "episodes". it lacks that certain something.

I remember watching a "review" on a vlog a few months back and I remember the dude sad he didn't see any of the previous "episodes". I was shocked by that statement, i mean Rambo is so famous that in my town we even have a knock knock joke about him. It goes something like:

*Knock knock*
How's there?
Rambo 2

Yes i know, it's very funny isn't it? But to be honest it's all in the way you tell it  For tomorrow night I've planned to watch Die Hard 4.0?

Because Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold where my childhood heroes, i just love to see them blow bad guys away.

Normal?

, ,

Back to normal? I guess so, I hope so. After the deep thinking of last night today felt more like any other day at Medeea Web Works.

Forgive and forget?Maybe, definitely i think. It will take some time till i shall once more be looked upon as a solid base but that time will come soon, there's no reason for holding a grudge.

Today was just like any normal day, we played a prank on one of our colleagues and then laughed all day about.

It's good to be back, even though i never actually left.
