Drag and Draw on the Wall!

Drag and Draw is a set of digital drawing tools that have been unveiled by Philips. It consists of a multicolour brush, eraser and a magic wand to allow kids to bring their drawings to life on walls. It also has a bucket that projects the drawings on the wall. If you have kids that like doodling on the walls at home this could be the thing your after!

Batman Utility Belt

For all you Batman fans out there, the Batman utility belt has become a reality. Nathan Ball, an MIT student has created a battery powered rope ascender which is really the more technical term for the Batman utility belt. The system is capable of lifting anyone up to 250 pounds. Are you secure?

Do you have wireless at home or in the office? If yes then you should probably read on. Its believed by experts in the security industry that thousands of wireless routers have not had their security options setup properly. Thousands of home networks still use the default manufacturers administrator details which would allow a potential attacker to gain access to your wireless broadband. Further to this thousands of routers are not making use of the encryption and access control feature. So the best thing you should do now is go and check your wireless router, change the administrator details if necessary and activate the security features you have available.

French Students to get Open Source Software

French authorities will hand out 175,000 USB memory sticks packed with Open Source software to High School students in Paris at the beginning of the next school year. Its believed that the sticks will contain great Open Source alternatives such as Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird(Mozilla’s Email Client), OpenOffice.org 2 and other software for Instant Messaging and Audio/Video playback. This is another step in Open Source software that the French have made. Just recently the French government have decided to migrate government systems to Open Source alternatives in a cost saving measure.

If you are interested in using the new features of Aero you will need a more beefier machine for it to run smoothly. Gamers will also need to buff up their machines to be able to play the latest games on Vista.
