Finally able to Run Half Life 2 Episode 1 without C++ Error

Though this method requires Half Life 2 and lots of Disk Space but if you are a die hard fan you won't mind!!
I have pirated version of both HL2 and HL2 EP1 because it's still not legally available in this part of INDIA.
Let me make this clear that I get C++ error while starting HL2 EP1 and not HL2.
1) What I did is install (Extract) the DVD to folder "Half Life 2".
2) Then I renamed it to "Half Life 2 Episode 1".
3) Then I extracted HL2 EP1 to the "Half Life 2 Episode 1" folder such that it overwrites the files in the folders extracted for HL2. You can manually do this too by extracting them in separate locations and then copy paste the files.
4) Then I created a file named start.bat where hl2.exe exists.
5) Right click and edit start.bat. Notepad will open.
6) Write "hl2.exe -steam -game ep1 -console" without quotes.
7) Double click start.bat to run the game.
