Ponder Life

...because the owls haven't found the sandwiches yet...

"If I could do it all again..."

"...I'd do it all the same!"

Okaym, song stuck in my ehad. And, eyah. I feel that way.

Sorry, I haven't been round, like, at ALL.

The quarter ended, I had a test in every class- Some more than one- I had projects up the wazoo, and I went college visiting.

I saw my top three over break, and actually made a decision. sorry, everyone, but I cannot reveal waht it's actually called. :frown: I WILL, however, say that it is a damned-good school, and I am SO SHOCKKKED that Ia ctually got in, haha~!

Ima major in Conputer Science, and minor in Film.

I'll just call it universoty. xD

So, that... Over break I went there for half the week (well, to ALL the colleges) and I also went north of Port Town and hung out at my Nana's for Easter, and then went back with Suzu, so that was fun~! We went shopping ion Port Town and got some sickk jewelery and I got a CD and two books.

I also went with my Nana to the cemetary, the nursing home, and a few stores becaue she did not want to do those errands alone. So I helped her out, too.

Overall, I had a pretty productive braek!!

Ooh, I also have my Ebglish play written. I may post it up. If you guys want to sdee it, tell me.

I had fun, though.

I finished reading The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini (I think is how you spell it...), and now I'm reading First Meetings, by Orson Scott Card.

the Kite Runner was SO AWEEESOME~!~!~! EASILY one of my fave books.:yes::yes: I bought Hosseini's other book, A Thousand Splendid Suns for thirty-percent off one one of my colelge visits. :D++

I- I don;t know.

I don;t know if I made the right choice. for college, I mean.

If I went to a less prestigious school, I could just double-major in compsci and radio/television/film. Easily. It wouldn;'t be any problem at all.

I can always try to transfer into the the other major I want, but it would require TOP grades for my first year there. I don;t honestly know if I can do it.

My dad says not to have such a defeasist attitude, and just try my best and if I still want to, try to transfer.

But the thing is if I do horribly, I wouldn;t even be able to transfer to another college.

I don;t know.

I just don;t know.

And now I'm sitting in the Comnp Lab typoing this up, and I can hear snippets of the film class, here, and I miss it.

I just LOVE making movies. do I really wanna quit it?

I eman- I'm practacilly guaranteed a job coming out with a degree in compsci, and the classes sound wickked fun and sall, but is it what I'm gonna WANT?

I mean, alsdo, I can go anywhere in the world, even right near where I live now, to do those jobs, and with film I would almost certainly have to move away.

I don;t know, though.

I don;t want to have to make this decision right now. Am I boxing myself in by going to a place where it's a pain in the ass to transfer? What do I doooooo?!

I've been agonizing over this for a while now.

I don;t know.

I think I'm gonna go through with it and try to change if I still want to.

...I don;t even know if ym parents already mailed out my 'no-thank-you" forms.....

And I already told EVERYONE.

AND my parents bought the "Parent Gear" that says their kid goes there. Ugh.

I just don;t know.

Why should I have to decide right NOW?

I'm only eighteen.

...Which, I KNOW, is a sucky excuse- But, how many people actually end up doing what they orgionally intended? How often does it actually work out??

I feel kidna nautious.

And, yes. I worte this post,a dn then went back and added this above section, lol. Sue me. all you'll get is a pile of CDs and a truckload of books. P:

The past few weeks have just been grueling... ...I need another breaaaaak. (And this time one where I can just REST!)

"Sleep is for the dead." so is rest. Those hacve always been my mottos, but I'm currently rethinking thme. P:

I am SOOOOooooooooo behind here, too. I have 103 watches, heh.

I'll get to it.

If I live long enough. P:

I hope you'rew all well.

I'll be back. :frown:

PS-

I ended up changing my temperment for this post at the very end, lol, so the Song of the Day WOULD'VE been 'Rush' by Big Audio Dynamite, but now I made it the other one.

I love the part about "...Start over...Backpack on your ashoulder...Good little soldior..."

Do I really even need a title?Cliche

i'm dizzy just from reading that post. I know how hard it is to make this decision. i think you'll know after the first semester if compsci is right for you and no decision is irreversible. you can change your mind. if film is what you want to do you can put together a sick portfolio and apply to other places. we'll see what you're made of. also i keep saying, 'digital media' seems like what you're after as well. who the hell knows at 18? make some friends with people in the film area at university xD and find out what it's all about. if you really want to transfer, you'll make it happen. you can always go to grad school in film too and make cool documentaries that we all watch on pbs.

Dangerous thought, that. And spelling p: There are no guarantees - welcome to the part of your life where it's you that makes the big choices rather than your parents :D ( :sst: unless your parents are very controlling )

Real life is the annoying bit that comes between sleep and sleep. It's certainly not worth losing sleep over! Stick with the original plan, put it out of your mind, and get some shuteye.

Trust me. I'm a vet.
