You'll drink when you're old enough young lady! :irked: don't worry about the smoke as you're probably a passive smoker anyway and statistics show more passive smokers die of lung cancer than active smokers.. :left: no don't quote me on that..

I reached my 'full up' point with ciggie smoke in the mid 80s. My doc banned me from smokey places if I wanted to live. Back then it meant I hadda stop going out, which was NO FUN. But bit by bit more and more places have started banning smoke, and I'm now almost back to normal again.

I shoulda explained that more clearly.

Being the one that looked the oldest, when we were at school I was constantly being asked by the other kids to buy their fags for them. They'd pay me with a ciggie. Somewhere along the line I was smoking one of these little cancer sticks in a cinema and I just thought "F*** this. I don't like them and they smell bad."

So yes, I did use to smoke but it wasn't that that clogged up my lungs, it was playing in pubs and clubs. You have to look at it this way. Some places the audience is no more than a couple of feet away, they're all facing your way so the half of them that are smoking are blowing their smoke straight at you, and if you're singing you're taking in great lungfulls of someone else's smoke, that's what finally clogged up my lungs.

The doc told me I had to stop smoking, I said I didn't smoke, she didn't believe me, then she told me I had to stop playing in smokey joints, which basically was the same as 'don't play anywhere'.

I recommend against taking it up, it does make you smell bad no matter how much the addicts try to deny it. In fact it's a real passion killer.:ko:

Yeah I smoke and would highly not recommend to even start..

Now that you say it, I remember... I think I said it somewhere, but I;m not sure.

On the cruise, I had a friend who smoked, and I felt downright nautious around him!!! :yuck:

So, waht'd you do? (About not singing in smokey places?!)
