Tryiing out my new camera, the Canon EOS 600D (called the Canon EOS Rebel T3i in North America) today I walked down to the end of my backyard, looking for a photo opportunity. Spring is on the way (see the little bug photo) but the garden is still drowsy and hasn't woken yet, except for the endless cheep chep sound of sparrows, those little "tree mice" as I affectionately call them, and the swet warbling sound of the finch high in my oak tree. I also hear the distinctive song of the robin, a regular visitor to my garden and very territorial. I looked up to see if I could get a shot of these birds but they saw me and in a flash they were away. So it was that I saw the dried leaves from last autumn, still clinging to its branches.. and I lifted my camera and got this shot. smile
