Nice image, Thomas. I don't like to see trees with nails pounded in them. It's harmful to the tree, and to the person that tries to trim or cut them later.

I think this tree was set as a fence-pole and then jumped in to live. So I am bit split between keeping the history (keeping the nail) and removing it to help it get on in live
