Growth theme highlights

,

This time we have a little different theme highlights exhibition. Usually I have instructed the reviewer to pick one from each album of members who participated to theme. But after correspondence with Richard, I realized the exhibition should present and respect reviewers own opinion up And after thinking it through I came to think it is our personal and different point of views that makes this group what it is. Therefore the pictures here are picked, as Richard told me, because of high standards, and few of us got even two simple because Richard judged them to be excellent photographs.

With these words I also welcome and encourage our future reviewers to boldly present your taste and point of view. And our photographing members I challenge to take excellent pictures that win the place in the heart of reviewer up

It was my great pleasure to be judge for this month's '"Growth Theme" and its accompanying "Motion Tech" sub-theme. Fewer of us than normal contributed to this, but those that did really raised their game. I think you'll find wonderful use of color, perspective, light and shade among these pictures - and a lot of imagination. These photographs gave me new ideas. I think you'll find the same when you look through them yourself.

Grown and Yet to Grow

A wise man once sang sing
"The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind"

I wonder what answers those side shoots of the cabbage tree seek. Is the smaller, higher, therefore younger shoot any more eager to find the answer than the larger, lower and older shoot?

Lyric by Bob Dylan, "Blowin' in the Wind"

I did it a bit differently this time, as Sami explains in the introduction. I used what I judged to be the best photos rather than featuring one from everybody who took part.
