Ladies and gents, we start this year with something fun We give you Backsides theme The idea is to shoot any object from behind. One artist once said the statues should be looked also from backside. And that also tells whether the sculpture is good or not Same thing goes with almost anything. Things like television and washing machine may not look great seen from behind because the designers have thought no one ever looks them from that side anyways But now we do, and those items can actually look interesting from behind However, you decide what is the “backside”. You can shoot cars, houses, people, flowers, chairs, coins or anything where one side can be called as a “backside”. And also of course a backside story included will give a more detailed view of the picture

Theme starts today, January 10th, and lasts till the end of this month. We would like to see at least one of your photos for this theme, but bear in mind the limit of 40 photos per month

Unfortunately we have decided to give up on tech challenges. Instead we continue putting our efforts into ‘Articles on photography’, which we try to provide on monthly bases. We have plenty of old forum articles to republish here on blog, great plans for new stories, and a surprise already coming up for January

Moreover, remember that now on we will have only one exhibition per month. And for that you can pick any picture you want. Pictures for that should be posted till the end of month and exhibition then takes place around 4th of February. And as before, you can also ask moderators to choose the picture for you, or even give to moderators a permanent permission to do so when ever you forgot to do your own choice. So, no more theme highlights exhibition but just one where you can show any one of your pictures taken during current month.
