Well, we've finally made plans to go camping! Saturday, we are going up north to pick up my mom and then were taking her camping for three nights! We've never been to the campground we picked out before, so I'll be sure to take pictures (if I can find a camera that works). It will be me, my husband, my mom, my dog Gomez, and mom's dog Susie. I hardly ever see my mom and it's been nearly a decade since I've spent so much time with her, so it's a big deal. This is also the first time I'm going camping with my husband! We're really looking forward to it.

Yes, but what does one look for in a campground? We had such a hard time picking out a site.

Always look for a campground near a lake or a body of water you can swim in. And look for a place where you can play around in like a field and you need some trees. If you have all that in a camp, then thats great, but you can not go to a camp if its not accompanied by a large body of people to assist you with help or if your ever in danger. Its always fun to go campming, you just need to be prepared. :lol: Oh, never forget the mosquito spray :lol:

You're probably already camping right now or maybe you have come back?
I hope you are having / have had a brilliant time. When I was a boy I was scout and I loved the camping trips we all went on.

I just got back from camping about a half hour ago! It was fun! We had wireless internet but I only used it for a couple of minutes because my mom and husband wanted me to be doing stuff with them.

When we first got there I thought we maybe picked the wrong place, but I warmed up to it more everyday and by the end I was sorry to be leaving. The hightlight was the night before we left. The owner did an Astronomy night and we got to look at the moon and Jupiter. There was a meteor shower that night, but we couldn't stay up to see it. We were so tired! We did see a stray meteorite though. It was pretty fun! There was also a pretty fountain that I only discovered that night it was lit up with different colored lights, really pretty. The first day, my mom and I went on a hayride too. It seemed like the place went out of there way to create a community environment for there campers. It was quiet, rustic (but with modern amenities), and not crowded at all, yet managed to have a lot of features! Nic and I even played basketball (I lost)! I'd like to go back there again someday. ^v^
