Cooking Mama Challenge!
Tuesday, April 10, 2007 8:14:39 PM

This if for the Cooking Mama Challenge! I thought of making these cheep cheeps a while back. They are common characters to Nintendo's Mario series, but they never seem to get enough attention. So here they are, in all the demensions of reality! I hope I win that apron!!! ^v^ These are the ingredients and supplies I used! In the process of trying out my idea, I also needed a strainer and a toothpick (snapped in half). The bottle on the left contains whole peppercorns and the penguin salt and pepper shakers are a gift from my sister.
I am going for this retro style. First, I used a melon baller to scoop out eyes for the little guy. Then I cut wings, fins and lips. I cut slits in the tomato for each part to fit into. Then I hallowed out the bottom (This is where his white belly made of strained cottage cheese goes). I used a snapped in half toothpick to hold the eyes to the tomato. The cottage cheese should be strained so it doesn't leak all over the plate, and then mixed with salt and pepper to taste. Finally, I gently pressed the peppercorns into the apple to make the eyes complete! Tadaa! A cheep cheep! Yay! Thank God that worked, otherwise I would have had to think of something else to make!More pictures soon! I have to go to work! Bye!
