Not honestly sure when I last checked this site but thanks to an email reminder from Jodi figured I'd do some catching up! Really don't have much to say, honestly. Been working extra hours lately so that I can take some time off at the end of the year, and when I'm not working I'm generally itching, scratching, writing, reading, or crying. No joke. The itching and even my skin in general are better but it's still a struggle. Sleep is better, however! I've found that I no longer itch like crazy when trying to sleep on my side. In fact when I sleep on my side I'm asleep within about 30 minutes or so as opposed to the 2+ hours it will take me to fall asleep while on my back! Only problem now is that my hair causes my neck to itch. Had to have Dustin shave some of the underside of my hair (if that makes sense?) near the scalp in the back. And honestly the itchiest place of my body still seems to be my neck. Just gotta do my best to avoid heat, get cool when I start to feel hot, and keep my skin as moist as possible. Still going through a tub of Eucerin cream every three days, though, unfortunately. Still gets to me that stuff used to last me months! But found that Walmart has this store brand of Equate Therapeutic Moisturizing Cream which has the same exact ingredients as Eucerin! So I'm using that now. Not the same consistency Eucerin but close enough. And it's only $8 for 16 ounces compared to about $13 for the same size.
Anyway no plans for the weekend, no real Christmas plans so far and the plans Dustin and I hope to have for New Year's Eve/Day are up in the air at the moment. Dustin's dad has put the guilt trip on him to come visit them for Christmas or New Years but we're not sure what to do. Since I've been working things out with my mom (have I mentioned that?) we decided to have Christmas dinner with my parents. They know and love Dustin and they're pretty close by. Dustin's dad and step-mom are about 3 hours away. We talked about if we do go visit them that we'd just do something in Des Moines instead of going to KS. But not sure. Dustin's dad has Alzheimer's and he and his step-mom just barely get along so them coming to stay in a hotel and visit us is not an option. Well, it could be, but we're not pushing it. I personally have a feeling that we'll end up finding stuff to do for New Years in Des Moines, which isn't the end of the world but not really what I'd been hoping for. Still, whatever we do we'll make the best of it!
