Medicare and other insurances will pay for special shoes and insoles for a diabetic!
Once a year you are entitled to this.
Without special footwear and non friction moldable insoles, the diabetic, if not taken care of by a Pediatrist, Pedorthist etc., may find themselves with an ulceration and or amputation do to poor fitting shoes.
A Pedorthist is a professional who is certified to measure, cast, manufacture, provide special footwear and orthotics.
I'm headed to Boston, Ma., also CT. and surrounding area on April 10th to fit about 50 diabetics for special shoes.
