<script type="text/javascript" src="http://embed.technorati.com/embed/h8ya957isu.js"></script> I’m thinking about 3D printing, AS usual,. No, not on paper but actually a full color 3D hardcopy object out of a printer, somewhat like a dot matrix printer. All manufacturing is heading in this direction. Design in CAD, or acquire through 3D cameras and so on, produce through printer or sister machines,Etc.. These machines are capable of producing objects from a wide assortment of materials, ABS, Polycarbons, Titanium, Alloys. I find a way in every conversation to through in 3D, something. I can’t understand why very few people can’t see the possibilities. If I told you I can take a 3D picture/volume measurement of your face or body and then print out a 3D hardcopy model, full color, wouldn’t you want one? How bout of your pet, child, relative? Not only can I take a 3D picture and produce that, but I can also use CAT, MRI and even satellite data to produce 3D hardcopy objects! I am innovative, creative and entrepreneurial but have limited financial resource because of my research! I feel, if I talk enough about this, that someone with the capability to invest an amount of money, equivalent to starting up a Quiznos hoagie shop, will see the possibilities and understand that I am truly a visionary and entreprneur. This is ground floor in the same manner as the computer itself and the internet combined! For the ideas that I have in the usage of this technology, spans a wide variety of industries, professions and commercial applications I know you’re out there! this is fascinating. you have more than scratched the surface.
good luck with research and development.

i was surfing one day on the internet and came across a website which displayed death mask casts of various great men in history.
i would probably buy a cast of one or two of them if they were marketed. just an idea.

Love the idea!

I have had people comment on how the image of me looked like a death mask.

I can see it now, a true 3D image on every headstone!

Erie!

I have been thinking a lot about 3D printing too since you arrived on Opera. It's really fascinating the possibilities :D thanks for the inspiration, I'll have to do a little research about limits and benifits of 3D hardcopies my self and see if we can't do some business down the road
