Life at SIMSREE

We had the opportunity of having a panel discussion and an informal tête-à-tête with two very dynamic personalities: Mr. Lalit Kumar of Reliance Life Sciences and Mr. Gaurav Gupta.

The panel discussion was on Mergers & Acquisitions. The warm-up to this session was a presentation by Manasi, Sanket, Pradeep, Nishu and Siddharth on M & A.

We got new insights on some of these aspects:
1) When does a company go for mergers and when does it go for M & A?
2) What is due diligence?
3) What is the role of HR in a succesful M & A?
4) How should I select the core team for the M & A?
5) What are the different ways in which an M & A can fail?

One very interesting tidbit is that Mr. Lalit Kumar used to teach International Marketing at SIMSREE, when he was Brand Manager at HLL for Surf.
