Tastekid suggest other bands and movies you like

,

Ever heard of 'TasteKid'? No? You can find 'TasteKid' at: http://www.tastekid.com/. Write down some (at least one) of your favorite bands and/or movies and/or books in the textbox and hit the 'suggest' button and 'TasteKid' will try to suggest other bands, movies and/or books that you might just like.

For example when I entered 2 great bands:'evanescence, nightwish' (without the ') and then hit the 'suggest' button it will suggest other bands like: 'within tempation, after forever, and around 40 other bands). It seems to work great for suggesting bands.

If you click on the one of the suggested band names, it will automaticly do a 'suggest' for that band, hover with you mouse over the question mark next to the suggested band name and it will show a youtube movie of that band and sometimes some information it found on wikipedia.

Just try it, you can only discover other great bands, no?

Just go to: http://www.tastekid.com

It's Not All Sad

, , ,

Amy Lee (from Evanescence) has talked with SPIN.com about the writing of a solo album.

Amy lee has said that she has writing new songs completely by herself. She also claims that the new songs she's been writing are different then the 'older' Evanescence songs. According to Amy the new songs have a folky and celtic influence.

However, she didn't say under what artist name the songs will be released. She could release it under the band-name: 'Evanescence', but since she said herself: "It's nothing I would categorize as Evanescence." it seems, there is a chance that IF she releases those songs it would be under the name 'Amy Lee' or maybe something else.

Just note that she didn't say that she will release those songs. So it still possible, we'll never get to hear the songs.
