Since you found me, I had to come find you

Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday. It's not about a significant other, it's all about my son. My son is bi-polar, although we didn't know what was wrong at the time. Valentine's Day 9-years ago he almost ended his life. It was the most horrible day you could imagine. Long story short my son ended up going to this wonderful school called Lighthouse in Chelmsford, MA. The following Valentine's Day he was doing so well he was amongst the living. He said last year I decided I needed to die. This year I decided I want to live.

It could ahve been any day, it's just sweet it all happened on a day dedicated to love.

Valentine's Day. Yeah. If you love somebody and know what love is, u don't need a special day to speak it up. Anyway, I hate the commercial side of this day. People makin' money from hearts, sweets, cards, flowers (I love roses anyway) - that's the bad side. But, on the other hand - there's some magic in it. A special evening or just an occasion to spend hm err... a few flying hours with your better half, make the atmosphere, candles, scents music etc.

I don't like the idea of dividing people to 1) singles who hate 14th Feb because they feel more lonely then 2) happy couples who enjoy that day very much.

You can be single and happy for St. Val's Day. If anything fails, u can think that your future perfect half is probably thinkin' bout you, even if you're not togheter today, right now. That works for me.
