It's been awhile and I know most people seem to get around to blogging on a much more timely basis, but I only write when the spirit moves me to do so. It's still snowing in spurts here in the Great Northwest and the birds are really getting confused about it. One day it's 50 degrees and the next ther's snow on the ground. So much for the weather update.
I've been teaching again for about 3 months and am really enjoying it. My classes are small and the students want the knowledge that I am giving them so it's nice. I only have 3 or 4 classes a week so lots of time off for my other pursuits.
Still playing music once in awhile, but not as much as I would like too. Nothing seems to calm me down like a couple of hours with the guys (wish there were more female musicians in our little circle).
My spousal unit is still working 2 jobs until the 15th of this month when she'll cut back to just one. That'll be really nice for her. She's really been overclocked (to put it in computer terms) these days.
I hope that peace and calm visit you frequently and that we all learn to speak the language of love not hate. We're all in this together.

I sometimes feel like a leaf adrift on the ocean. No control over where I end up or how I get there. Between our manipulative government that is completely owned by the "Big Money Boys" (who also own the banks which are driving us into a recession) it's hard to plan on the future. We get up and we get dressed and we head out into a world where the cost of everything is on the rise and our paychecks just can't keep up with it. We no longer decide where to go for our vacations but rather if we can even afford to take one. I haven't had dental insurance for over 10 years and the medical, I had until recently, questions every claim as if it was doublting the honesty of every policy holder. I have always had the motto of "Carry On Regardless" and now it comes into play much more than I would like. But hey, it could be worse....and believe me it will. I will get drunk and dance in the streets when the idiot who still believes he speaks for the nation finally gets the hell out of a position of power. Someone get him a coloring book and a big box of crayons and keep him away from the telephone and maybe we'll still have something worth voting for in November. It's going to be a long, long year.

Here's my point of view. He's a criminal who is getting way too much publicity for such a stupid crime. Why do the networks seem to think that we need to follow this story. There are murders and kidnappings and other crimes going on, why does this man get such celebrity treatment. There's a war going on!!! I've heard more about a former football player and his bad choices than I did about the war protests that happened over the weekend. OJ definitely got more coverage.We care more about who's on Monday night Football than the fact that our children are dying in the desert. Maybe there really is something terribly wrong with our society. There are times when I am shamed to be an American. I'm sorry for all of us. Please forgive our incredible insensitivity and bad taste.

It's a brisk day here in the Inland Northwest and Colleen is in the kitchen making chicken soup for Sunday dinner. I'm studying my graphics arts online classes and realized that I haven't updated this blog for quite some time. I do have something to say so I thought I'd get it down on paper so to speak
I'm absolutely stunned by the amount of child pornography that exists on the internet today. I had no idea that our collective society had sunk to such a level where videos and photographs of the most depraved behaviors exist for anyone with a limited amount of web skills can access it. Even with parental controls that are easily undone by our technological youth, the problem is in every country and area on this planet.
What's wrong with us. Does normal sexual activity confuse us to such a degree that we search out the absolutely heinous activities of child porn? I just despair that such a wonderful tool for communication and global healing is being used in this way. Oh well, let mankind get a hold of something and we will find a way to screw it up. The environment, endangered species, politics, religion.....
Anyway it's my responsibility as your Computer Tutor to point out this kind of thing so that you are aware that it's out there and you will came across it if you stay online long enough. The are organizations like RAINN www.rainn.org/(Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network) and ASACP (Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection)http://www.asacp.org/page.php and many others that are trying to do something about this horrible situation.
Just be aware that it does go on and that it is a global situation that needs to be addressed.

It's the Tuesday after Memorial Day and I thought I would add some thoughts to my BLOG. Colleen and I spent the long weekend putting in new laminate flooring in our kitchen and hardwood in the living room. I also put a door up on the pantry and some other samll repairs around the place. Just getting ready for the wedding in July. I've really let the yard go for the last couple of weeks but the house is looking much better. Work is a place I spend seven and a half hours at each day. Not very rewarding work but I'm insured and get a check every couple of weeks. Hope you had a good 3 day weekend.

It's nice to have the chance to get together with all of you once in awhile. This is the new technology where any fool can say what's on his mind, or what's left of it. I know so many people from over the many years and many miles, that I thought this would be a good place to catch up with everyone. If you are mentally or physically opposed to blogging leave now and it won't be thought any less of you later. Anyway, the point is, I miss all of you when I am unable to be with you and so here is a way for us to stay a bit closer than we have in the past. Or at least that's what I tell myself.
