When all else fails, photograph your refrigerator. The excitement never stops around here. Several of the shelves are not visible.

Those were the good shelves. :D

Years ago I was at a friend's house and opened his fridge. All that was in the freezer was a bottle of vodka. The refrigerator had one bottle of beer and a slice of pizza. The light bouncing off the empty shelves nearly blinded me.
