upgrading to windows 7

, , , , , , ,

(This is tongue-in-cheek operating system humor. I'm not trying to really piss anyone off) p:

The commercials are on the television. Microsoft, the reviewers, and the commercials all say that this is the one! This is the one that's gonna do it! Yay! Go Neo (The Matrix).

Anyway, a friend was talking to me the other day and asked me if I planned to upgrade to "7". I looked at him wild-eyed and thought, "how out of touch with me can you possibly be?"

He may as well have asked me how my wife and children were doing. Ummm, I don't have any of those.

Asking if it is any good, would be out of the question then?

It's supposed to be "the one." The advertising has to be true, this time.

Yeah, I'm not gonna try and 'sell' you anything MS! But I have to say Win 7 is a nice OS. Huge improvement over Vista. Although let's face it, smearing dog food over your monitor makes a huge improvement to Vista. I've been using the RC for a few months and it's slick, quick and does what it says on the tin.

I got your donation this morning by the way!

What time do you reckon I'll finish? Guess somewhere between 1.50hr and 2.15hr, and you'll be in the ball park. You could win a prize....:hat:

(And I promise, the prize isnt a copy of Win 7!)

I just noticed that word "reckon", lol. I though that was mainly the domain of Southerners in the US. Another good one is "fixin'", as in "getting ready to." "We're fixin' to leave for the grocery store."

I had grits and eggs for breakfast. :D

Nah, we Brits use reckon plenty too!

Had to look up grits, thought it was the same as oatmeal.
I guess it makes as well a breakfast as the other, anyhow.
