One of my favorite songs when I was real little. I love the groovy 60's outfits and funny dancing. The percussion is so flawless. This number is from the LP Going Places, 1965. My family had it on LP and 8-track.
I enjoy waking up to a good coffee, some e-mail, the opera community, and some trance from SomaFM. My favorite channel on Soma is Tag's Trip. Trance music has a bit of an edge to it, but at least it's usually melodic and it gets me awake for the day. It also reminds me of many nice clubs and bars I've been to around the world. I love to walk into a good club that has heavy air conditioning, people dancing all over, and getting myself a nice freaky drink, usually some shade of blue or green. I'm well past the years when people would buy me a cocktail in a club. Now I have to do the buying, and there are NEVER any strings attached.
There's a myOpera community member who is a great DJ who uploads music that I like. His name on opera is Dedo Digital. His latest set is called Ave. Fenix (beta version). I love it and he's got it available for download.
High-speed net has done so much for aural pleasure. I'd love to hear of some other net radio stations where people like to get music.
Some of the finest drinkin', dancin', clubbin' stuff there ever was. Dead or Alive.
sex drive it sees no gender or color so lets get together and collide with each other sex drive ah you know how it feels get out of my car and get under my wheels
Reedplayernc doing some ocarina practice (sight reading) before going out to celebrate the New Year. He is playing an old French Christmas carol called "Bring a Torch."
It's total joy. With the volume up and the subwoofer shaking the room, I'm practicing some of the steps. I need to get the white suit and hat to go with it.
One of my favorite songs this time of year is Silent Night. In this area I frequently hear it in English, German, and Spanish. It works well in all three, and you don't have to have the vocal range of an opera singer to have fun with it. Gospel/Soul versions of it are particularly moving. I seem to recall Aretha Franklin doing a particularly nice job of it.
How about French? Does it sound good in French? I like French usually. Any others?
Silent night, holy night All is calm, all is bright 'Round yon virgin mother and Child Holy infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peace
Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht! Alles schläft; einsam wacht Nur das traute heilige Paar. Holder Knab im lockigten Haar, Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh! Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh!
Noche de paz, noche de amor, Todo duerme en derredor. Entre sus astros que esparcen su luz Bella anunciando al niñito Jesús Brilla la estrella de paz Brilla la estrella de paz.
Amazon sent me a coupon for $5 of free mp3 downloads. Most of their downloads are between 49 and 89 cents each, so I can get maybe 7 songs. I just don't know what to do? Usually I don't buy music. I find that once I actually own it, I lose interest in ever hearing it again. Usually I just listen to net streams, or, you know.
What to do? The anxiety of spending this $5 will be tremondous! It's indeed a world class problem.
Fortunately Amazon's downloads are usually DRM free.
