I had a craving for rice noodle soup tonight, so we went out to eat at Pho Hien Vuong. That other fella had curry chicken. :chef:

nighttime dessert sortie

, , , ...

It may be cold, raining, and dark outside, and I'm half asleep on the sofa, but the urge hits, and it's out to the car to go for dessert and take-out coffee.

Here is tonight's haul. Unlike the coffee, the cake is not from Krispy Kreme. It's from a fine bakery next door, Maxie B's. It's caramel cream cheese iced pound cake. Very theeek and riissshhh! :chef:

kiss my grits for seventy-nine cents

A big bag of grits for only 79 cents. I didn't like grits until I was well into my 20's, but now I'm OK with them. I still hate Cream of Wheat, which is soooo nasty.

Many upscale restaurants serve a dish called "shrimp 'n grits", which is delicious, though it will tend to sit in your stomach like a lead balloon.

enchiladas suizas de pollo

It's what I had for dinner on the way back to the hotel from work: chicken swiss enchiladas.

The food was good but the waiter paid me no attention at all. He was busy with a table of two young girls. My age being double theirs, plus my lack of tits and a vagina resulted in me being totally ignored.

Hey, I'm middle aged. I kind of have tits. They're not perky though.

A special once-a-year tummy treat just dropped off by some good amigos. We live for them each year at this time. 100% delicious! :chef:
