how to get on my friends list on my opera

, , , ...

It ain't hard:

  • Click "add friend"
  • I click "approve"

I'm *so* easy! p: I also initiate adding friends easily, so don't worry too much if you get a friend request from me. I'm *probably* not trying to bed you down.

My vetting process takes about twenty seconds. I do a quick blog examination for addiction to hate, or support of things like killing kittens or Nazi ideology. Barring the presence of those things, you're in! Well, I could probably tolerate the killing of kittens. Just kidding about the kittens. p:

I've never cared (much) if I get spoken to even once after adding a friend. Just knowing that someone wanted to add me for one second of their life is enough for me, though I do *love* and prefer to chat and socialize. I do try to avoid spam memberships or those who have thousands of friends and are adding for some agenda.

There are no requirements for friendship. Just come as you are.

I enjoy the weird and the strange, so if we seem to get along well on here, there's something weird or strange about you!

mystery face signs in greensboro

, , , ...

I started noticing these last month in two places around town so far. In both places they are in series and span about two blocks. I parked today, took a walk with the camera, and got this set. What could they mean? Fertile ground for a conspiracy, or maybe just some freak-o advance advertising for something that will come later.

Here they are all on one side of the street. This is the entire series in order heading south to north. I think since last month two have been taken, but this is what remains.

guadalajara, mexico, 1980's memories

, , , ...

As a young guy, my first trip outside of the USA was to Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in 1980. I went there that summer to try to learn Spanish. My first summer there was kind of a bust. I didn't really connect and kind of hated it. That changed in a big way. I ended going back there many many times during the 80's, and after that, I branched out all over Mexico.

I'm thinking of doing some stories of the odd and unusual from there back then. Some of my experiences were a bit strange!

A couple of groups or organizations I might post about are the "PSUM" and the "GOHL". It might be fun to take a guess at what these are until I can do the posts. :D

Hmmm, which to do first?

strange freighter planes in and out of local airport

, , , ...

I like to stir up some conspiracy action, when possible, so here goes.

When something out of the ordinary is noticed, why not blab about it on the Internet? p: I've followed with some interest the endeavor of plane spotting. I've been amazed at what all people have learned by comparing notes of aircraft spotted at airports and in the air. At least some of the practice of extraordinary rendition was brought to light by plane spotters.

Anyway, driving home today, I noticed some HUGE freighter jets coming and going from the local airport. I've never seen them there before, and I drive by there a lot. They are very large, seemingly as big as the sky, and the wings go over the fuselage, rather than under it like on a passenger jetliner. There are no markings on the outside, and the color is a flat gunmetal grey. If there were numbers on the outside, I could not see them, but then again, I was driving so I couldn't pay extremely close attention.

So, what's up? Strangely, an acquaintance of mine was telling me about similar activity at his local airport in another state just last week. Also, other people here in town have told me that this afternoon is not the only time they have been around. Hmmm! :eyes:

The location of my sighting:

The Piedmont Triad International Airport, also known as GSO, PTI, and PTIA. Greensboro, North Carolina (NC), USA.

Time:

Between 5:30 and 5:40 PM, EST (22:30 to 22:40 UTC). 11 Feb. 2009.
