"The Agent you'd recommend to a friend"... not

Here's few words of warning if you ever think about having any kind of relationship with Sherry F.
Usually when you move in somewhere you don't really expect to have to deal with your landlord/landlady too often. So did we.
First time I had to deal with their representatitve they were very surprised that old tenants moved out and they are being contacted by somebody supposedly living at that address. I had to explain what happened and wait for the callback. Obviously we did tell them some people are moving out and others moving in and this experience should have been a warning sign of how they work. In the end they sent a new lease and everything got back to normal.
Then we had problems with leaking shower and dishwasher. Every time we called them the agent that was looking after our house was always in meeting, another person was promising numerous callbacks but not calling back before we made at least five more calls to them asking to talk to this person.
At some stage we even had an electrician trying to remove a part he fixed our boiler with cause he haven't been paid by agency in months. All that during the coldest week in Ireland.
At the end when we tried to call them to give them notice again we couldn't talk to the agent(she must be extremely busy all day, poor thing) so we left at that. Which happened to be huge mistake. When we asked to have our deposit back they said that notice time was too short.
Ignorantia iuris nocet - it's all according to law but I still feel scr*wed by them, after all that trouble we had wih them now we are couple hundreds down.
My advice - don't use agencies, they will ignore you and then try any trick to keep the money. Remember that after you are more than 2 years in one place notice period is 56 days.
And most important avoid Sherry F. at all cost!
