Smoking Moon Dandy
is a concert band that has a unique sound. They have a variaty of theyr own songs a blend from most of the rock genre.

Hlynur or Lennie as he is called is the singer and the songwriter in the band and is from Iceland. His songwriting style is unique and his lyrics is filled with irony, passion and generally about the society of today.

Sigfred the baseman or Siggen, is the ground control. He keeps the songs togeather with a tight base, and togeather with the drums makes the solid floor for the band.

with lots of influence from the 70's.
Siggen and Lennie found David (Mr D the drummer) in an ad from the lokal newspaper, he was searching for a band. After only one song in the audicion he was hired!
David Schöne is an experienced drummer from Finnmark and have played with the all the music generals and the divas in the cold north. Like the band say's "if you have David you dont have to use a metronom".

It is funny to mention that David and Hlynur met for the first time in the year 2003 and played one gig together in Alta Finnmark. In the end of 2007 they met again by a stroke of luck, or by a touch of fate.

The newest member of SMD is Ivar Berg, or hammondhead
as he is called among friends. Ivar has played with various bands in Rogaland and with lots of known persons as Frode (Froddi) Rønli and many more. Ivar is obsessed by his Hammond organs, and have been playing the Beasts since the early 80's. Ivar's friends just call him John Lord. He is a great aspect for the band.
