Like A Teapot

"Enlightened or not, it is all the very same. Have a cup of tea! "

Finally

, ,

It has been a turbulent few weeks. The Olympic game served as a big distraction. The sticky hot weather seems to have passed for the year. I am sleeping more regularly, feeling better, and looking better. I cut my own hair again and it looks better than before. I am taking Chinese medicine for my stomach problem and it has started working. Should have cut my hair and started the medicine sooner.

I finally embedded the Olympic theme song to the pertinent post. Sorry it took that long. I know people from different parts of the world revisited my lyric page for the song because I said I would try to upload it later. First it took nearly two weeks for my brother to pass along the music file. Then I had trouble uploading it to my opera files. Then the code given to me by a trusted friend did not work. I had to do my own research and use a different set of code found on the Internet.

Congratulations on the haircut (today is my day for one, too), and especially on finally making your stomach feel better.

solid copper 27. August 2008, 13:37

Thank you. Didn't use any milk.

Matthew 27. August 2008, 13:40

 I hear buttermilk soothes the upset stomach, but I have never tried it.

Yulia 27. August 2008, 15:17

I like milk and drank it some minutes ago.........is it bad?
Do not know why, but your song does not work for me...

deborah 27. August 2008, 19:16

i'm going to try the english version in a minute, but i wanted to let you know solid, i love your blog posts!

i know that if you are lactose intollerant, milk can be bad for your tummy. watch out for that ice cream and try to use more yogart -- this still may be an upset for your system. some of us develop lactose intollerance as we age. kinda like me and my favorite veggies (beans, cucumbers, and hot spicy peppers). awww

Matthew 27. August 2008, 19:45

Errrrrrr... lactOSE intollerant?

deborah 27. August 2008, 19:48

okay teacher matt, sorry . . . . i'll fix it. i'm glad you knew what i meant (i have an excuse if that counts!)

solid, i couldn't get this page to load the music for me, but i did get the version on the original post and it was beautiful!!!!

Matthew 27. August 2008, 20:37

Hahaha. Lactate took me in another direction altogether. :eyes:

solid copper 27. August 2008, 20:50

Ladies:
The milk in question (what Matt and I referred to) comes from Daxer's chest and we don't know what it contains.

Regarding the music, sometimes you need to click on it twice or wait a bit for it to load. I set it to autoplay now. Hope it works for you. You can stop it if it gets too annoying.

deborah 27. August 2008, 21:23

annoying? the only annoying part is my slow dial-up connection. i will be glad to listen to any language this beautiful song is sung in!

i understand that lactate is a thing that is not the thing i was trying to write about, but i still tell you i have an excuse! after a ten-hour shift on only four hours of sleep and another four hours tomorrow . . . . does that count for my stupidity? :D

solid copper 27. August 2008, 22:15

Those who have heard it before might think it is annoying. I am changing it back to what it was. Not autoplay any more. Did you hear the song here just now?

deborah 27. August 2008, 22:42

yes, partially. my work called me, my dogs needed me, and i had to do about three different things while it played in the background of my life. that's okay because i got the jest of it. i still proclaim it as a beautiful piece no matter what language it is written in or sang in! artistic talents carry over the miles and over the years. this is a piece of history solid! you've brought me to this point. thank you for sharing!

solid copper 27. August 2008, 22:46

You are welcome. I changed the setup to autoplay for you and Yulia earlier, and someone accused me of throwing the song to visitors and not letting them decide whether to play it or not. That is why I needed to know if you heard it at all.

Yulia 28. August 2008, 01:17

no:( Still there is no any music.
As for the thread of lactose intollerant-
it reminds me one wonderful movie "Frech kiss"!)

Matthew 28. August 2008, 01:42

I never thoguht you stupid. "Lactate" just made me chuckle to myself.

Yulia 28. August 2008, 01:58

:worried: Am I? My knowledge will trick me always :frown:

Matthew 28. August 2008, 02:05

Sorry. I was addressing 1BlueBox. Of course, I dont' think you stupid, either.

Yulia 28. August 2008, 02:10

 Sometimes I feel so when I am confused with my English...

Matthew 28. August 2008, 02:11

Nah. That you try, and do so well, is a wonder to me. I get confused following English online, and it's my native language.

Yulia 28. August 2008, 02:26

Thank you for support

Matthew 28. August 2008, 02:29

You're welcome. It's what I do! Just check out my results to all the psych tests Solid Copper has posted recently.

Yulia 28. August 2008, 02:32

I saw:)

Matthew 28. August 2008, 02:41

 I'm not sure they are entirely accurate, but it gives me something to which I can aspire.

Yulia 28. August 2008, 02:43

:smile:They are close to reality

Yulia 28. August 2008, 02:44

It is a bit late for me 6:43 time to sleep  good night

Matthew 28. August 2008, 02:47

Sweet dreams.

Yulia 28. August 2008, 03:00

:smile:Thank you

deborah 28. August 2008, 06:11

thanks mathew. i know you didn't call me stupid, i called myself stupid and it is true. sometimes, i get to talking (typing) so fast i don't stop to think what i've said. i'm glad you helped me correct my error, and i'm glad you found humor in my mistake too. wine

Yulia 28. August 2008, 06:28

It is the only good way to find humor in misakes:) We all do mistakes.
Let us have pleasure of it too:)

Matthew 28. August 2008, 13:02

There is usually humor to be found in mistakes. Mine crack me up.

Jen 29. August 2008, 01:43

Glad you're feeling better! ( I never thought of a haircut as being part of the answer... I need a haircut too, haha)

solid copper 30. August 2008, 02:52

For me, 70% of the time, a haircut can be part of the answer.

Matthew 30. August 2008, 03:04

I had my haircut the other day, and I'm a new man!

solid copper 30. August 2008, 03:08

How about it? Do you, like most men, always to go to the same person/shop?

Matthew 30. August 2008, 03:10

I go to the same shop, unless they have a line. I don't think I've ever had the same person twice, though.

Torkel Freed 30. August 2008, 10:14

Haircut is a great interest for me. At home I always go to the same shop/girl: Sara. But on my journeys I like to go to different shops. I will make a blogpost when I get home.

solid copper 30. August 2008, 10:24

It's your dog that needed to go to hospital?

I like your kind of haircut, but the way.

Torkel Freed 30. August 2008, 10:43

Yes our dog has been ill for a couple of days. They are taking bloodsamples right now.

Thanks for your opinion about my haircut, I like to have it short.

solid copper 30. August 2008, 10:55

Yes, short and simple, naturally going one side without using gel.
