I have found the perfect solution to my pizza quest. I love pizza but the normal size ones on the market always presents a dilemma. They are too big and too expensive. Leftover pizza does not taste good either. It is for this reason that I never order pizza for delivery. This Deep Dish brand, which I found in Costco on Thursday, solves my problem. There are twelve pieces in a box and it is about $1 a piece. They are of the perfect size and are most delicious.

To balance out, in case the cheesy pizza causes me difficulty on the throne, I have these items handy: oranges from South Africa, organic Romaine lettuce hearts from USA, and English white tea with blackcurrant; all of which obtained with a fairly good price while they were on sale in two other stores. That tea is currently my favourite and I alternate it with white tea with passion fruit of the same brand.

One time I was eating my lunch at work when a guy came up to me and remarked that he had noticed that I ate a whole grapefruit every day, after my sandwich, and he wanted to know why. So I told him: "I had a hæmorrhoid operation a few years ago because a doctor told me to take codeine for too long a time, and I got damaged. I made up my mind that it was NEVER going to happen again." It hasn't.
Besides, I really love grapefruit, and oranges always give me the impression that someone has been injecting sugar into them with a hypodeemic nerdle.
P.S. The "I am prepared" entry is blank.

With respect to cheese and digestive difficulties, I'm figuring you've tried lactase supplements, and they weren't satisfactory some how. I'm one of those mutants who can eat dairy foods to my heart's content.

Deb, I'll leave the definitive answer for SC, but I must say that I doubt that she was referring to lactose intolerance, or lactase deficiency. For one thing, the common manifestation of lacose intolerance is diarrhea, and the foods she is using to ward off the effects of cheese are high-fiber foods, plus the oranges have a high citric acid content. These would NOT be recommended in the case of diarrhea. But cheese tends to work the other way, because of its lack of fiber and other tickly things that tend to stimulate the colon. It's rather like eating clay, though it tastes a heap better.

The surprising thing is that it helped. A gradual increase in fibre functions as an aid in controlling diarhea by thickening the stool.
The fibre increase must be gradual though, or of course one will be coping with gas and bloating etc.

To be honest I thought that increasing fibre would be the last thing one would want to do, I was completely amazed at how effectively increasing my sons fibre intake worked for him. I also appreciated that the Doctors first response wasn't a prescription!

and sometimes the breakfast of idiots who tried to party like they're still in college. Not that I know from personal experience!
I'm glad you're able to balance your diet!
