I imagine confrontations like someone seeing me take a photo and then stalking toward me.
Hmmm. I'm thinking that having a stranger photographing you who happens to be a petite woman is probably less intimidating than when it's a strapping guy. Nonetheless, I'm also a little shy about photographing strangers unless they are part of a larger crowd, so it doesn't seem like I'm singling them out.
I wish. I'm 5 foot 8 (172.7 cm), which is fine. But I am also toting around extra pounds. Bob and I were both laughing that if we each lost 25 lbs (11 kg), we could both carry around our backpacks "for free". I am currently trying to reduce by adjusting my diet and exercising more, and I am having some initial success. Which means I will probably be tormented as I come to visit your blog and learn what incredibly yummy food you're eating now.

Nice sharp shot of a warm scene against a great scenery. I love it.

Robert: try taking off the shady cowboy hat before taking out your camera.
Deb: are you petite, too?
