Dang! Kinda blew out the highlights, didn'tcha?

On purpose?

Not at all. It was very bright to begin with.

I learned early to keep my camera set to underexpose by at least ½ stop ... didgies blow highlights really easily, and they can't be gotten back ... sorta like the D-max on a negative. They can be purposely underexposed, and yes, the shadows will block up, but usually the data is there, and can be gotten to show with Photoshop.

I like it like this. Maybe you want to see the woman's face more clearly.

"Under Autumn Sun" is a good title. It is almost posterized by the intensity of the light. I like the strong shapes that are created. The leaves in the foreground, just above the woman's head, are spectacular. Just waiting for the story now.

Thank you, Jim. I am glad you like it. :D

OK ... de gustibus, and all that. That's why I asked if you did it on purpose.

I like it too! I like the way the lady at the table blends into the table to give the impression of a little "buddah". It's nice. Oh by the way, you might like to download Picassa 3 by Google. It's a little but very powerful photoeditor that allows you to take the brightness, shadow, and highlights to some amazing effects. If you don't want to photoshop it's great for just tidying up pics to get a nice effect. Thanks solid, I like this!
