Like A Teapot

Change of taste

,

It is strange how we like certain colours at a certain time. A few years ago I was very much into black, but now I opt for lighter and brighter colours, completely avoiding black. Yes, I am talking about clothes, but such change of taste is not influenced by vogue or fashion. Just a sudden change of liking. Until very recently, I also did not care for pink, but now I consider it quite pleasant and am waring pink pajamas.

I distinctly remember having a parrot green phase bout six months ago...
Everything from my wallpaper to phone theme was acid green...

Change is what keeps life interesting - even if it's simply color of clothes or favorite food choice.

There probably was a reason for black as there's a reason for brighter colours now. :sherlock:
I remember the 80's here, a lot of the young people wore black, as a fashion statement during the new wave period.
Much later, black became "stylish" and was used by top designers as well, when before it was the pre-eminently mourning colour.

I guess you look like the pink panther in your pajamas

I'm about as boring as you can get when it comes to colours. Navy blue or black pants and solid colour shirts most often light blue or when I want to freak people out burgundy.

solid copper 14. December 2008, 23:23

Burgundy is fine. I don't get yellow on a white guy.

Matthew 15. December 2008, 01:14

I'm good with mustard yellow or darker, but my skin is olive (owing to the Italian in my mom's family tree, I guess).

daxonmacs 15. December 2008, 01:25

You're green? :D

Matthew 15. December 2008, 01:31

hahaha. p:

Mugs 15. December 2008, 04:24

You wouldn't catch me dead wearing a yellow shirt.

Well maybe you would if someone wanted to play a really cruel joke on me.

Matthew 15. December 2008, 12:50

Hahaha. I wish I could be your undertaker, Mugs!

Gold Lame disco suit with a yellow silk shirt. w00t!

Mugs 15. December 2008, 15:48

Jesus! So glad you aren't!

Odd thing is though, I was just reading somewhere, that disco is coming back. Of all the crappy type music out there now the absolute worst of the worst is making a comeback. I never thought it left - they just changed the name to dance or club music.

I suppose that means the polyester leisure suits will make a return as well.

Society is so pooched!

Matthew 15. December 2008, 16:43

Disco is much more palatable to me now than it was when it was popular. Maybe because I ignore the crap, and listen to funk/soul and call it disco?

Mugs 16. December 2008, 17:07

I'm not a fan - nor will I ever be. The whole idea of it's return complete with the polyester bothers me for some reason.

It really shouldn't - yet it does.

solid copper 16. December 2008, 17:12

Disco music may mean different things to different people.
