Innocent and unpretentious fun. For some reason I am thinking: Joy!!
Nice capture.
A picture does indeed say more than a thousand words.

Love the expressions on the faces. Makes me feel happier just looking at them.

They were giggling like crazy. I am glad you like it, Deb and le dax.

daxonmacs 19. October 2009, 13:23

Of course I like it, as long as they don't have running noses ...

The girl's smiling face actually reminded me of Deb's.

daxonmacs 19. October 2009, 15:01

Now that you mention it, ues it does look alike, a beautiful smile.

Being called Morning Glory by her dad when she's little does have its long-lasting benefit.
Still envious of the comic books he readily bought her. :right:

daxonmacs 19. October 2009, 15:11

It seems her dad knew what he was doing
Actually, the smiles you have shown here, can easily compete.
You like comic books?

In China those are very different. They are called Little People's Books and are rectangular and literally pocket sized. Yes, I was crazy about them and always wanting to buy new ones.

daxonmacs 19. October 2009, 15:24

Well, they actually do have good stories, in my opinion.
And if you consider a lot of last best selling action movies, I'm not the only one with that opinion;
Well, apart from that, they don't provide for my favourite kind of movies, but we're getting off topic.

The contents in our books were very different. No fantasy and no words inside the pictures. The words that tell the story are printed underneath the picture. One frame in one page so you keep flipping. And there are all sorts of drawing and painting styles.

Regarding commentary on Deb:

solid copper 19. October 2009, 15:45

You are not doing it on behalf of your father as well, are you?

debplatt 19. October 2009, 16:36

No, just on my own behalf.

It was interesting to hearing about the Little People's Books. A friend of mine who grew up in Taiwan said she was crazy about Martial Arts books growing up. I asked her if she liked films like the one's Bruce Lee did, and she said no, she liked the wuxia genre.

That's hilarious! What a great shot. I'm glad you had your camera with you

Me too. :D
