What do the standard memory buttons do on a calculator?

What do these buttons do on a calculator? MC, MR, MS, M+, CE and C. Here are the shortcuts:

  1. MS = Store a number in memory
  2. MR = Recalls the number stored in memory
  3. MC = Clear number in memory
  4. M+ = Add the currently displayed # to the one in memory, and click MR to display the result.
  5. CE = Clears the displayed number
  6. C = Clears the current calculation
