It looks like that i've taken heavily to reading books in my free-time. 10 books in two week can certainly certify this. This is the third book by Chetan Bhagat, who has definitely become one of the most read and loved english author. After his "Five Point Someone" and "One Night @ Call Center", this is his third book. After reading all his three novels, i can say that Chetan is not a great writer like J.K. Rowling or Dan Brown, but he's a great story-teller, something of the same calibre as the above authors.
This is a story about a boy and his two friends. Its about their passions, cricket and buisness and the politics surrounding them- the old Hindu-Muslim rivalry. And it is about the three mistakes that he makes, first to invest all his savings for a shop in a new mall, which later collapses during an earthquake. Second, he had a fling with his best friend's sister. And the last is left for the reader to discover....
Boy! This guy is amazing. You can't even say if you're reading fiction or real facts. A real gem of an author, of the class of J.K. Rowling. I got to know about this book from the newspaper, which reported that the Vatican has banned the movie to be shot. What followed was a visit to the local bookstore and i rightaway bought this book. And reading this book, i created my own record, i finished the book in less than 13 hrs of continuous reading
When world-renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to a Swiss research facility to analyze a mysterious symbol -- seared into the chest of a murdered physicist -- he discovers evidence of the unimaginable: the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati... the most powerful underground organization ever to walk the earth.
The Illuminati has surfaced from the shadows to carry out the final phase of its legendary vendetta against its most hated enemy... the Catholic Church.
Langdon's worst fears are confirmed on the eve of the Vatican's holy conclave, when a messenger of the Illuminati announces he has hidden an unstoppable time bomb at the very heart of Vatican City. With the countdown under way, Langdon jets to Rome to join forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and mysterious Italian scientist, to assist the Vatican in a desperate bid for survival.
Embarking on a frantic hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra follow a 400-year old trail of ancient symbols that snakes across Rome toward the long-forgotten Illuminati lair... a secret location that contains the only hope for Vatican salvation.

Recently Buddhist monks from all-over China, spurred into protests demanding free Tibet. What began as a peaceful demonstration soon turned into a violent protest when the locals joined the Buddhist protestors, agitated by the stubborn stand by the Chinese officials. More than 100 people have died, according to the Tibetans, including 19 they said were shot by Chinese police in the area of Machu in Gansu province.
This situation is grave, also considering that the Beijing Olympics are round the corner. Thus at this time, these protests are thorn in the way of the Chinese Government who have already been accused a dozen times of violating the human-rights while preparing for the much-awaited sports feista. International Olympics Committee vice-president Thomas Bach said a number of top athletes were considering boycotting the Beijing Olympics over the bloody crackdown in Tibet.
The Dalai Lama said on Tuesday he would resign as leader of Tibetan-government-in-exile, who is presently in Dharamsala, in northern India, if violence veers out of control in Tibet and denied accusations from China that he was inciting riots. Also on Tuesday, China's premier Wen Jiabao, accused Dalai Lama of orchestrating riots in which dozens may have died and said his followers were trying to 'incite sabotage' of Beijing Olympics.
The Dalai Lama said he had nothing to hide from the Chinese. "Investigate thoroughly, so if you want to start investigating from here, you are most welcome," he said. "Check our various offices. They can examine my pulse, my urine, my stool, everything," he said with a laugh, miming as he talked.
But the matter is more than a laughing one, while Lhasa burns, the Chinese govt. has waged war, a "people's war" againist the rioters.
According to me, China has two options before it to deal with the protestors in Tibet. It could take a cue from the Myanmar and use force to suppress the protests or negotiate with dissenters, who include a large number of exhiled Buddhist monks. But well, China is not Myanmar. It is a global power and the world expects Beijing to conduct its affairs accordingly, also taking into the account the forth-coming Olympics. The Chinese leadership should invite him for talks. Such a gesture would in a long way to show China in a positive light. It is fatuous for Beijing to imagine that it sweep dissent under the carpet by enforcing a ban on foreigners in Tibet and youtube in China. China could risk international condemnation if it uses excessive force on protesters in Lhasa. After all it should rise to the occasion in any way.
I think Muchboos Deyaay is one of my top 5 meals of any cuisine, and coming back home to this meal really hits the spot. I started watching some Naruto Shippuuden while eating the chicken and spring rolls. I don’t care that it was one meal or that it was a lot, I was damn hungry and I went at that meal with a vengeance. After I finished the meal I laid back and remained stationary for an hour, I even took a 30 minute nap which was nice. I had a KDD Rocket while watching more episodes of Naruto Shippuuden.
This is my most awaited movie of the year and why not, its return of the gorgeous Kajol back with her hubby, cool Mr. Ajay Devgan. And i'm sure this movie is going to be major blockbuster at the box-office. So check out the promos of the movie.
These powertoys can help you a lot. These include a program known as Tweak UI, a powerful calculator and more. Wonder why microsoft doesn't include these with its OS.
