Rashoman, did anyone say? Oh puhlease! Lets leave the classics alone. Cuz, Hollywood is perfect as pulp fiction and there's nothing wrong with that. The American President goes to Spain to attend an anti-terror conference and does up a victim of a terror plot himself. The busy-body intelligence agencies sniff the plot and send a double to take the bullet as he steps forward to address the restless crowd. But its the US intelligence, remember and they rarely get their their statistics right when it comes to weapons of destruction. Hence, even as the POTUS thinks he's safe, cocooned in a high security hotel, masked intruders kidnap him at gunpoint, bundle him in an ambulance and head for an undisclosed destination, through the crowded streets of the bustling town. Hey, but didn't there Morrocan terrorists do their homework on the fearlessness of the American cop who can save the Prez, and even if bullets fly, bombs explodes and the city scape crumbles....
This time, its Dennis Quaid who plays dare-devil cop, but that's just one part of story. The more interesting parts are the eight versions of the assassination attempt, as the event is told- and re-told- through the eyes of the different people who were present there. You can even view the hungama through the eyes of a pretty little girl who loses her mama in the melee, when all she wanted to do was to enjoy an ice-cream.
Interesting. But just one query- what was Sigourney Weaver doing in a split-second scene?

Ashutosh Govarikar has come up with yet another hit. Jodha-Akbar, starring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan, respectively, is a must watch, despite its long running length and it promises to take Govarikar's directorial skills to an entirely new levels. The movie is just not about the unspoken love between the Mughal emperor Akbar and the Rajput princess Jodha, but it also gives out a message of secularity of India to the ones who are hell-bent on forgetting that India is a secular nation.
The movie is grand, as are the movie sets, the actors' costumes, accessories( read 8 kg gold jewellery for Jodha), Govarikar has succeeded in recreating the Mughal grandeur. A R Rehman has once again proved his mettle. The music for the movie is top notch. The songs, 'jashne bahara' and 'ajeemo shan-shehensha' are really good and they definitely immerse you into the story and don't hinder the story.
Hrithik was a little apprehend while shining this movie but he has done a real good job as has Aishwarya. The scenes where the duo talk to each other with their eyes are really romantic. This movie takes on-screen romance to new levels. Especially Hrithik and Aishwarya's on-screen chemistry gets better here after Dhoom-2, where they lip-locked, but here they scarcely touch each other. Their eyes do the whole magic.
Disregarding the controversy surrounding the movie, the movie's bound to make raves, releasing this friday with 1500 prints all over India. On the whole, the movie is worth-watching.

What a ridiculous night of fun, towards the end of Friday night I was getting hungry and a few of the guys already ate.
So I had a craving for Sushi, I got the number to Maki, the neighbourhood joint and I headed over there. My friends ordered for me since I didn’t know what to order. I got the Issa Maki, Shrimp Tempura, and some Chicken.
Came back and we started watching StarWars IV which is the first movie from the Star Wars Saga. I have to say that it is one hell of a movie, and watching it again you notice things that you never noticed before. They were Lucas was a genius making this movie, it was years ahead of its age. And then we bucket of popcorn that was finished the first 20 minutes in.
