Sorted Sites, Windows, Operating Systems, Desktop
...
The development team at Sorted Sites have added Linux pc's to their development environment. As more users each day take the leap to open source software, Linux is a big jump. However because of such a wide range of distro's (versions for you windows users) available out there, means choosing a system to meet your requirements is really easy. One of the most popular distro's out there is Ubuntu, the latest release 10.04, is fast and robust. What did you ask? Can you put it in English or Spanish? Well, it comes in about 40 different languages! No cost, no hassle. If you are going to want Outlook or Microsoft Word or Excel, then you are going to have to forget them completely. Try out OpenOffice, the free office suite that is complete. Perform those everyday tasks easily as on your windows PC, but a lot quicker.

Ubuntu comes on a live Dvd which means you can just pop it in your DVD drive and boot your computer straight into Ubuntu. No changes are made to your PC, test it out, if your not convinced, just reboot, remove the DVD from the drive and your PC will boot back into Windows as if nothing had ever changed!
No more internet explorer! Use Firefox or Opera as a browser of choice. All you Firefox users will feel right at home.

Safety and reliability are a couple of the most important things for us when providing a service to any of our clients. We pride ourselve for maximum uptime, quick response from out IT Helpdesk Team to our clients (mail) issues.
So to ensure we keep this service running we have upgraded our Mail Server to the latest version of Mdaemon, currently v11.01. This version includes all patches and fixes to known issues reported by our users and other users of this mail server software.
Many of our users are familiar with Worldclient, our web browser based email client. In Mdaemon 11, the interface was given a somewhat facelift. It still has the ability to change theme to your liking. A SortedSites Theme has been in the pipeline for a while. Maybe we will see this released in an upcoming version.

Sorted Sites, Estate Agents, Property Feed, Property Base
...
So your first question is gonna be PropertyBase.net, what's that? Well, read on... PropertyBase is a property portal with a difference. Do you have accounts with varios online property portals? Do you have to go to each one individually each time you need to add or edit a property? Yes, sounds very time consuming and tedious job, I might add boring also.
This is where PropertyBase gives you back all that wasted time, repeating tasks over and over again. If you have a PropertyBase account you only ever need to add/edit your properties via the PropertyBase Control Panel. All your properties get fed into the other portals automatically on a daily basis. No need updating the same property x amount of times, do it once and your done!

IE, Opera, browser, Microsoft
...
It's arrived! The long awaited improved version of IE, improved? fast? web standards? does it actually do what it's supposed to this time? Yes, well, that's what we are all wondering. So get over to Microsoft's download site and check it out for yourself.
I have been using it since Tuesday and I can say I have found it a better experience than with previous versions, and yes, it supports CSS 2.1, I don't know to what degree yet, but it is very noticeable from IE 7.
Although I am a defaulted Opera Browser user myself, I use 4 or 5 browsers when I'm developing to ensure browser compatibility. Usually Firefox and Opera rendor a site first time around, then comes to the process of CSS hacks to get IE to render the page properly.
IE8 promises to put all that to an end, can Microsoft keep to that promise, has the full potential of a browser actually been released finally? Gimme your feedback with your IE experiences regardless what version.
You can also make a vote on our poll, which is your favorite browser?

Sorted Sites, Anti-Spam, Software Upgrade, Mail Server
...
Sorted Sites are pleased to announce that their mail server upgrade on Tuesday was successful. The IT guys managed to roll out the upgrades in less than half hour without incident. The system has been monitored for the last 72hrs and we can announce 0% downtime.
Sorted Sites introduced a new Security and Anti-Spam system to the mail server last year and our clients noticed considerably the less volume of spam in their inboxes.
Our Mail Server blocks as much as 2500 spam emails and handling up to 40000 client requests a day, now that is busy!
A dedicated server with powerful hardware and software is what we normalize as standards. Your email is important to you, it is important for us to ensure the quality of service we provide and he security for you and your company.
